Paranoia Most of my adult life I have been convinced that I would not have children...or let me say that I could NOT have children. I am a Pisces and they say that Pisces have psychic abilities. And I believe that because I would dream things that would later come true in some sense or I would have a LOT of Deja Vu's.
So for the longest I dreamed that I could not have children. And when I was married (yes I am divorced...long story) my ex wanted for us to have a child and I just did not get pregnant (that was a blessing in disguise). So needless to say I thought that I would never carry my own child.
So when I got pregnant I became a paranoid mess. I was always thinking that something was going to go wrong. So I have read everything that I can possibly read, I call my doctor with EVERY little question, and I think that I have had 3-4 emergency visits because of my paranoia. When Aiden would go a few hours without moving I would freak out and wake him up so he would move for me. And when we got our first 3D ultrasound his umbilical cord was WAY too close to his head for my comfort so I had all these nightmares about it wrapping around his neck.
Well as I get further along I think that my paranoia is calming a little but I am sure that in a couple weeks I will start freaking out about the delivery. So that is my little morning confession.
Aiden's father (since he ONLY refers to me as Aiden's mom now...which drives me crazy) FINALLY finished the baby shower pictures. I will put a few in the photo album. They looked really nice. When he sent the link out to a bunch of people he wrote this long note...and in this note he started it off with "I"...not we...but I. He wanted to thank all the people that came out...I would think that he would put WE since the majority of those people were my people...especially the ones that traveled from afar. AND he referred to me as Aiden's mom...WTF. Could he not call me by my name to our family and friends? That is like calling someone only "my wife" like they don't have a name. That really irritated me. I mean I can understand him calling me Aiden's mom on his blog, but not in a letter to family and friends.
Anyhoo...I am taking my not so little, little brother to the movies this afternoon. We are going to see The Incredible Hulk!!!! I am so excited. It should be a good time. Then I am going to come home and chill before having to cook. I put the name stencil on the wall last night so maybe Paul will paint it...I would rather be here when he does that though.

Father's Day...I know I am late...lol. Well Sunday was Father's Day. And after the LONG Saturday I had I was pooped!!! Not as pooped as Paul since he went out Saturday night with his friends and stumbled into the house at about 4:30am!!! Little did I know (until about midnight on Saturday) that we were suppose to be going to brunch with Paul's mother and Step Father....AND dinner with Paul's Father and Step Mother. Brunch was at 1 and dinner at 5:30 (which really means more like 6-6:30 with the Douglass clan). Either way there was no way that I was going to be hungry again that quick. So I had to decide where I was going to snack and where I was going to eat.
So after I had to drag Paul out of bed (he even said once that we were not going to go to the brunch just so he could sleep...lol) we went to the brunch at Copeland's (which I LOVE). Oh but before we left the house I asked Paul if he wanted his father's day gift at brunch or dinner and of course he said right now. So I gave him his card and the onesie I had made that said "My Pop's for Obama" and he liked it very much. When we got to Copeland's we waited about an hour before being seated separately...there were 13 of us. (mind you my throat is raw as heck and I can barely talk) Just about everyone went for the buffet but I didn't want anything fried so I ordered the worst omelet that I have ever had. I mean I didn't know that you could mess up an omelet like that!! It was greasy and the fillings that I ordered were not on the inside but on top!!! So I was a little disappointed. But at least I got to spend a little time with Lubby and Bob-Bob.
Then we go to the mall because I had to exchange my charm for the one that I wanted and we had to get Travis (Paul's brother) his birthday gift (this is when I got my Crocs). We got to the dinner for his father at about 6pm because Paul was trying to be lazy and did not type the address into the navigation and it took us somewhere completely different...even when I was telling him that it was doing so...but I didn't want to argue. At 6pm his father and stepmother were not even there yet!!! LOL...but by the time Paul started wrapping his gift they has arrived. So we went in and ate. GREAT meal...and by this time my voice was even more non existent.
They went back to Paul's dads house to watch the game and I went on my date with Jewel to see Sex and the City that we planned when the movie came out (movie was great...all about love, believing in love, and second chances...fabulous!!!!). So Paul went over there while I went out. I got home a little after midnight and Paul got home a little after 4am. Don't know why...don't ask questions...
And that was our Father's Day...sorry I was a little late in posting this...lol

Maternity shoot!!!! Okay let me first start off by saying that you can check out all of the crock styles at www.crocs.com. You can also buy from the web site and find local places to buy them.
Now on to the photo shoot. We had our maternity photo shoot yesterday and it was fun!!! It lasted about an hour and we took tons of pictures. We got belly pictures, pictures with Paul and the belly, me and the belly alone and some with the three of us. The only thing that I would have wanted but did not get was a nude picture of me being pregnant. I got the feeling that she was not as comfortable with nudity as I am so I didn't bring it up. But that is no big deal. I cant wait to see the pictures...she said it would be a couple weeks to edit and put into a slide show.
Which leads me into the baby shower pictures. Paul has YET to edit any of those pictures and now his mom is about to fire him as the family photographer because to the time lapse...lol. And since he heard Andrea (the photographer) say yesterday that it takes two weeks he now thinks that he has two weeks. He is confusing himself (a hobby photographer) with a professional photographer...lol. I am giving him until the end of the weekend. But I know that he is not going to have much time this weekend because of the painting that he HAS to get done. And I say HAS to because yesterday I PICKED UP OUR CRIB!!!!! YAY!!!! And the res of the furniture if on its way. So he has to get the room painted so I can get the house cleaned and the carpet cleaned so he can put the furniture together and we can start putting all of these gifts in their appropriate place!!!!
We got so much stuff at the baby shower. I am looking forward to going through everything. I know that there are a couple of things that we will be taking back but that is okay because there are plenty of things that we can exchange them for. Especially the Pottery Barn items. We got 3 diaper bags from there...lol. So I think that 2 will be going back and we are going to exchange it for this fab chair for Aiden in the green polka dots (http://www.potterybarnkids.com/products/k3092/index.cfm?pkey=cfrnans%7Cb),

Croc flip flops Okay so on Sunday I got a pair of all black Croc flip flops at the advisement of Natalia. And let me tell you...they are the most comfortable shoes ever!!! They have to be the #2 best investment that I have made since becoming pregnant. I wish that I would have gotten them earlier. Paul bought me some regular Crocs last year for my birthday but he has taken them over!!!!! So if your feet swell like mine and hurt at the end of the day even if you are wearing flats...go out and get some NOW!!!! They have like 4 different flip flop styles and plenty of colors to choose from.
I also went and bought the paint for Aiden's stenciling that will be done in the nursery. I think the colors that I picked will work. We are going to do his name in DARK brown and the polka dots in 2 different shades of blue, the brown and white. I think that Paul and my mom are going to knock it out this weekend. Maybe I will move the cleaning up to Monday, that way I can schedule the carpet cleaning the next day and Paul can then go ahead and put the crib together...I know that he is DYING to do so...lol.
So I went and got mom the grandma charm from Tiffany's today. That is my thank you from Paul, Aiden and I for everything that she did for the baby shower. Now Paul and I are trying to figure out what to do for Kimmy. Because we have to do something for all that she did. So we are working on that!!!!
I have the munchies so I am going to submerge myself in french onion dip and chips...lol...chalk full of nasty calories...lol.
