Red Rasperry Leaf tea and squats So still no baby yet!!! And I am getting more and more desperate. My midwife told me to drink Red Raspberry Leaf Tea so I went and got some today. Be aware ladies...it has to be Red Raspberry leaf tea...not raspberry flavored!!!! So I am sitting in bed on my SECOND CUP...this one has about 3 teabags in about 10-12 oz of water...lol. Yes it is SUPER concentrated. That is how serious this matter is...lol.
I also have been doing multiple sets of 10 squats (at the advisement of everyone...especially my super mom line sister Jos). I don't know if it is going to help the baby come but it sure will tone up my ass...lol...and that is always a plus.
So I think that I am going to go to TN at the end of October for Homecoming. I was not planning on going AT ALL... but then Kimmy said that she was going to go and then my other line sister whom I have not seen since her wedding in 2004 said that she was going to come with her daughter who has to be like 3 by now. So I guess I could be killing a bunch of birds with one stone. There are a lot of people in M'Boro that would not have met Aiden yet so that would be the first time, he could of course see his Lubby and great grandmother, AND BD could take him to see his best friend Rodney who has 2 little boys. Of course I am not going to want to be away from him all this time but we will see. I wont go to the pep ralley but I will go to happy hour afterwards...maybe...lol. But definately go to breakfast or dinner with Kimmy and Moni...that way i can bring Aiden with me and then go back to M'Boro to take him to see people. All of this is not a definate but it may be a good idea. Because the only other time we planned on going to TN this year is right before Christmas.
Anywhoo...still waiting for lobor to begin...and waiting and waiting. Oh and a new revelation is that BD's sister asked when we wanted her to bring BD's grandmother down to see the baby. I said labor day weekend....but his grandmother wants to know why she cant come to the hospital or see him RIGHT when we get home. Mind you she does NOT drive nor does she live in Atlanta. So there are a few reasons why I said Labor Day weekend. 1. We know for sure that I would have had the baby by then and had hopefully at least a week to heal a little, 2. we dont know the exact date that the baby is being born so if it is during the week by the time they get here I am sure I will be out of the hospital and I am NOT going to want visitors the first couple days at home and it is not like his sister is just going to drop work ro drive them down here 3. the first couple days home I dont think that I am going to be in a chipper enough mood to hve visitors. My baby is going to be in pain from his circumbcision and we are both going to be tired, and 4. I wanted to tell them a date maybe a week or two past labor day because we have LOTS of stairs in our house and I dont remember the last time I saw his grandmother walk up stairs. If they came later I could bring him to BD's fathers house for the visit but I am not willing to do that until he is like MINIMUM 4 weeks old. Oh and one more thing. If they come over right after he is born then she is going to invite her niece (who is in her 60's) to come along as well...and I am sure that she won't consider what I may want in that situation. So BD asked me what I wanted him to tell her and since he puts this ALL on me I have to call her...which is fine with me...I guess. Well I guess I have no choice.
I will definately give an update on that later...lol...his Grandmother is very surly and likes things her way...good thing this is my child and she cant have her way when it comes to him. She wont like that...oh well.

38 Week Appt So we went to the doctor on Friday HOPING that I had dilated at least 1cm so she could strip my membranes. Well I HAVE NOT DILATED AT ALL!!!!!! Ugh...I was hoping that I would have this little bugger this weekend. But that does not seem to be happening. So of course...I am still pregnant!!!! He is not budging...lol.
We went to see Batman last night...I had been patiently waiting to see it since it has come out. It was fabulous!!! It was very intense...but great!!! And I am not sure if it is because of the movie, but I was having PAINFUL contractions the WHOLE movie and during dinner afterward. I think that BD thought that I was squeezing his hand because of the movie but at the end of the movie I had to let him know it was because of the contractions...lol. I did however remember to bring my pillow to the movies for me to sit on. NOTE TO ALL MOMMIES TO BE: have a square pillow in your car for when you go to the movies or restaurants. Your butt will begin to hurt when you sit for too long as you get bigger. It feels like your butt is sleep and it does not feel good. And I have to say that that it helped a TON!!!! No sore booty!!! YAY!!!!
My brother is here with me today because my mom went to Flashback (which is like a huge outdoor party of oldies but goodies and they tailgate with food and drinks). I was thinking that I was going to be in labor this weekend so I told her that me having him was up in the air. Well since I am NOT in labor :( he is with me. So she never told me what time she was bringing him over so when she was ringing the doorbell at 10am I had to shake myself out of sleep...lol. So right now we are just relaxing and later we are going to go to the movies, the park and then MEXICAN (my favorite...lol). I initially was going to take him to see Batman but it is WAY to intense for him...so we are going to see The Mummy movie (I wanted to see that anyway).
So there it is...an update. We also uploaded the pictures of Aiden's Nursery onto his blog. It looks so nice. We should get the glider in the mail this week so once we get that it will be COMPLETE. The blog address is www.aidendouglass.com. Enjoy!!!

STILL PREGNANT!! So I will be 38 weeks this Saturday and I am over being pregnant!!!! I want this party to finally come to an end!!! I am so very uncomfortable and my back is screaming bloody murder. I just cant take it anymore. So I have been corresponding with my midwife about stripping my membranes. She said that she would do it if my body will allow for her to so I am hoping and wishing and praying that I will be dilated just a little so she can.
I am also going to be walking a lot and doing squats for the rest of the week!! BD wont have sex with me so that is not an option...UGH...I mean when I finally want to have sex he tells me that he does not want to traumatize the baby. I mean PALEAZE!!!!! First of all there are so many barriers between Aiden and that trauma that there is no way he will be bothered. But of course he does not know that...as many books as he has read I guess he just looked over that part!!!!
She told me to drink some rasberry leaf tea so I will be going to get some TODAY!!!!! I am hoping that he will come this weekend but BD is wanting him to wait so he can be born on the same day as him. How selfish is that!!!! I am considered full term and I am miserable and all he is worried about is Aiden waiting to be born on the same day as him...that must be so he wont forget his bithday!!!!
Everynight I hope that I wake up to contractions and/or my water breaking...but no luck. I mean he should WANT to come out of that cramped space in there. Wouldn't you?
Oh and dont let me forget that I got in the mail today my fabulous Peg Perego car seat in green bubbles!!!!! I LOVE the color (we can use it if we have a girl next time) and I cant wait to get it in the car. I will give BD the satisfaction of installing it into my car. I will be going to get the stroller either tonight or tomorrow afternoon. It was delivered today but I have to pick it up. So we are all ready for him to come...so hurry up and come Aiden!!!!!

Back Aches and baby shower #2 So we went to my moms house last night for a little cook out and that was nice. It was nice to see people that I wont see again anytime soon...lol. When we got home I was so tired and my back was KILLING me. I mean this is the worst that it has ever felt. So I pretty much went straight to bed. About 4am this morning I had to get up because my back was killing me even more and I could not get comfortable. So I went downstairs and slept on the couch for the rest of the night. It was not the most comfortable but it was more comfortable than my VERY expensive bed!!!! UGH...so I guess I will be sleeping on the couch again tonight. We will see.
The second and final baby shower was this afternoon and it was really nice. It was at this place called the Swan Coach House here in Atlanta and it was definatly a femanine place. But we did see a few men in there...lol. The food was really good and the ladies that came were great. I convinced one of my moms friends that gave us the bassinet (which is so perfect!!!), to bring her son into the shower with her...he is 4 months old and was born on my birthday!!! He was sooo cute and calm. Of course I didn't want to put him down. He thought that my shoulder was very tasty...lol.
My mom bought the mattress for the crib (so unexpected because of all the money that she has already spent in buying ALL the nursery furniture!!!!!). We also got some gift cards and the stroller!!! YAY!!! I used the gift cards and ordered the car seat when I got home. So we are pretty much set for the baby!!! (With the exception of the bedding. But I am hoping that Rico gets that ordered pretty soon.) And I am too excited about that!!! I mean everything is going to be in order when he arrives. All we have to get is the glider now and I think that Paul re ordered that last night. I will post some pictures of the shower and the cook out last night in the next couple days.
I have to get something to eat!!!! And take my butt to bed because I am so sleepy.
