STILL not dilated Okay so i am 40 weeks and 2 days pregnant. I went to the doctor today and there has been NO CHANGE FROM LAST WEEK!!!! Ugh...I am now officially depressed!!! I mean this is madness. Will I have to get a c-section? OMG...this is terrible. So after the midwife (a new one because my normal midwife was off today) dug in my vagina like she was searching for buried treasure, she told me nothing and said for me to get dressed because they were going to put me on the monitor. WTF!!! I want Harriett back!!!! I had to finally ask her if I had dilated or if I was the same as last week. She said the same. So we went into another room so they could hook me up to monitor the baby's heartbeat and monitor my contractions. I mentioned to the nurse that the midwife that I was seeing was not very personable and she agreed. Harriett has spoiled me!!!!
As I was on the monitor I fell asleep. No surprise there since I am tired all the darn time!!!! After they took me off that we went to ANOTHER room where an ultrasound was done to make sure that Aiden had enough fluid around him...and he does. This time the midwife was much nicer...BD said that she must have heard me say that she was not personable because she was very nice during the ultrasound. She NEEDS to be nice...we pregnant women are very hormonal and dont want some cold person working on us!!!!
I then proceed to ask at what point do they induce or decide to take the baby. She said that if by my Friday appointment Aiden has not come, they will schedule induction. I tell you what I am going to call on thursday afternoon...because I know that this naughty little boy is not budging....and tell them that I want to be scheduled for induction on FRIDAY!!!!!! I do NOT want to have to wait until MONDAY. That would be the worst....pregnant all Labor Day weekend not being able to do anything...just waitng until Monday to get induced. No way Jose!!!!! Guess Paul's family will be coming to see Aiden in the hospital and not at the house this weekend. The next time most of them will see him will be when he is 2 months old. How fabulous is that...I will be able to come home and recover for my 2 weeks uninterrupted. My younger brother may not be able to see Aiden at all because he leaves on Labor Day to go back to MN for the school year. That means that he would not see Aiden until he comes back fro Christmas...which may be best because Aiden will be bigger then. We will see...I just know that he is not going to make his grand enterance on his own...I have finally (reluctatly) accepted that.
So now I am going to take a nap...lol...and then get up to knit some more. Shoot I may finish his blanket before he gets here...lol.

40 Weeks, 1 day!!! Why am I still pregnant? I mean can anyone answer that for me? I know that my due date was correct because I know my date of conception...so why will my son just not come on?
My mom and brother came over yesterday and hung out most of the day...just in case I actually went into labor. Of course that didn't happen. BD would not take me to the movies on Friday night because he feels as though I need to stay in the house. Well it was probably best that we didnt go because my feet were huge and I was sleepy. Then last night we watched a movie that I rented and ate pizza. Had contractions for about 2 hours and then of course they went away. Then I came upstairs to bed had more contractions for about an hour...then as usual they went away. And let me tell you these are not those braxton hicks non painful contractions. These suckers HURT!!!! I am imobile and trying to breath through them....at the same time hoping that this is the beginning of my labor!!! But of course I am let down everytime.
So after watching the USA men's basketball game this morning (that we recorded last night...got USA!!!) I cam upstairs to knit some. cant say that I have gotten really far but that is because my hands hurt so often, the needles are small and the darn pattern is a little more complicated than I should have chosen. But it will be beautiful in the end.
Oh, mom brought over my birth ball yesterday and that things does wonders for the back when you sit and roll on it during a contraction. It also helps me do my squats with no assistance. I should have gotten it a while ago...lol. I am still drinking this useless red leaf tea and am considering trying the castor oil to put me into labor. Worst thing that will come out of that is me going to the bathroom, but that would be a blessing in disguise since I am so darn constipated!!!!!! And my metamucil is not working anymore...I take like 3 glasses a day and I am still stopped up!!!! This is rediculous!!! So until next time...hopefully I will have some great news from the Midwife tomorrow. Everyone keep their fingers crosed!!!!!

Can my ankles be any bigger? I think that my ankles are unusually LARGE!!! I mean I know that I vent about it all the time on here but this is ridiculous. I mean I can literally feel the fluid moving around when I take steps!!! How gross.
I went to the mall today...and of course babies r us...and walked around. I figured that if I walk around a little it will help move things along. I am doing really good about not buying Aiden clothes when I am out. I only bought one shirt and it was on sale. As I was walking around the mall I happened to look down and my feet and almost hurled!!! I mean my right ankle/foot was HUGE...much bigger than my right. And when I took my Croc off you could see the flip flop imprint. This is just not cute. Especially when I normally have VERY narrow feet...lol. And when I was driving home I noticed that my feet were feeling numb because they were so darn big!!!! UGH...
I got my new camera today and i am so excited. Now I have a new toy like BD. I had to replace my 4 year old camera so I could capture all of those moments that BD is going to miss as he is adjusting his fancy camera...lol. It is just an upgraed version of the camera that I had before...the new one is the Canon Powershot SD750. Very nice camera...I recommend it to all mommies that want something lightweight, sleek and dependable. You can even capture video on it...I got it on amazon.com for like $169. Not too bad!!!
BD and I have realized that Aiden is probably not going to come before this weekend so he is going to likely be a Virgo. Which is good and bad. He is going to be anal as heck and probably have OCD, but at the same time he will be mommys little helper and always wanting to be active...lol. We will see how it all works out.
Of course I am sleepy as heck as usual. I wake up still sleepy. I need a nap everyday just to feel kinda normal. I think that I am going to convince BD to take me to the movies tomorrow afternoon/evening. We minus well since Aiden is not going to be gracing us with his presence anytime soon...lol. I want to see that new movie Death Race...maybe it will be so intense that it will put me into labor, God knows that I thought Batman was going to put me into labor...lol.

STILL no baby!!! I have come to realize that Aiden may have to be forced out of my stomach!! He is not trying to leave. Went to the doctor today and I am STILL not dilated but my cervix is thinned out to 80%. I guess with your first child you normally have to thin out before you can dilate...but some people dilate and thin out at the same time. Of course that would not happen with me because I want him out so badly!!!!
After the doctors appt. I went into work to pack up my office. My mom came out to help me and I am SOOO glad that she did. We are moving offices (just up 4 floors in the same building) labor day weekend. And hopefully I will have had this rug rt by then so I wont be there. The move was suppose to be later in September but some people are really anxious to get moved...I dont know why. So it was good for me to be packing because that made me have to stand up and walk around a lot...hopefully put some pressure on my cervix to thin out even more. All I know is that I came home and didnt even make it up the stairs. I laid down in the guest room on the first floor with BD and was KNOCKED OUT!!! I am so sleepy!!! We just finished watching some more olympics and now I am going to go to bed!!!
Oh and my feet are still HUGE!!!! This can not be natural...lol.
