Back from MN... I am sitting on my couch watching the super bowl very upset with the offensive line for the Patriots. I just returned from my trip to MN for my oldest friends baby shower. Her belly is sooooo cute and I cant wait until I get to be where I am showing like she is. It was a great time. I got some pretty good ideas for things that I am sure I would not have thought about for my registry.
This was my first time driving alone in Minneapolis. I left Mn when I was about 7 and every time I go back I am normally driven around but I didn't want to depend on anyone to take me where I need to go and I wanted to move around at my leisure. And I have to say that it is really easy to navigate the city. I went ans spent like 6 hours with my 85 year old grandfather and he is hilarious!!!! I had a good time over there. But over all it was a very relaxing 3 days.
I am going to TN this weekend coming up and that should be equally relaxing with a little more laughter. I cant wait. I have attached a picture of my friend whose shower I went to this weekend with her mommy...isn't she cute!!!!!

Baby's first picture!!!! So I had my first ultrasound today and it went really well. I saw the baby move!!!! I didn't think that we would be able to see the baby move. I could see the head, the heart beating, the brain, the feet and the hands. It was really cool. They said that we would be able to find out what the sex is until the 20th week..I think that is in like April...which his much further away then I though we would have to wait. Maybe I can figure out a way to find out before then.
I had an early morning meeting today so i am super tired...just finished dinner and am about to lay it down for the evening.

Insomnia is back!!!! I was diagnosed with insomnia about 4 or 5 years ago and was on ambien for 2 years before I made the lifestyle changes needed in order for me to sleep without meds. I have been doing good for a while, but I am so busy with work and there is so much going on that I have not been working out...I am eating later than I should...and I have not been treating my bedroom the way I should. Needless to say I had my first completely sleepless night last night. AND I had to be in the office at 7:30 this morning for a planning retreat. I thought that I would be so tired that I would come home and fall asleep walking in the house, but as I lay in bed I realize that I am not all that tired...which is not a good sign. I hope that this is not the beginning of my insomnia controlling my life again....ESPECIALLY since I cant take ANYTHING to help me sleep because of the pregnancy!!!!!! This is all bad.
On a lighter note...it is snowing for the second tie in a week here in HOTLanta....and it is beautiful. I am from Minnesota and miss the beautiful white winters very much...but I dont miss the 14 below zero temperatures (that is the temp today in Mn). I am going to Mn at the end of the month for my friends baby shower and I cant wait...I am going to go to Macy's and buy a winter coat since I don't own one (It does not get cold enough here in my opinion to buy one) and it will be a must for my survival...lol.

Chinese Gender Calculator... Okay this is a SHAM!!!! One site said that I am having a boy and the other said that I am having a girl. Of course I don't want to hear that I am having a girl...so I went to more than one site. Same information different results. I guess I am going to have to wait until March when they will be able to REALLY tell.
Everyone put boy vibes out there for me...I am so tired of people telling me that they hope I have a little girl...and oh how cute my little girl would be...I DON'T WANT TO HEAR THAT!!!! Anyone that REALLY knows me knows that I want a boy first. And that I actually ONLY want boys. Payback is a bitch so having a girl is not at the top of my list....lol
