Baby has arrived!

39 Weeks: Progress! Yes!
Finally!
Some Progress!
So I am in my 39th week now. Had our Dr.'s appt. And here is everything we found out:

I am 1 cm dilated
50% effaced
168 lbs
Baby's still head down

We had an ultrasound today, too.

Her head is apparently very big and very round (Ouchies!)
She's measuring almost 40 weeks
She sure has got some hair :) (it was all flowing in the fluid...awww)
Everything's developed nicely
She weighs about 8 lbs ("give or take a pound", the tech says.) Ouchies!
Her little cheeks appear 'chubby'

Yaaayy!!!
Well...I'm scheduled to go back in this Thursday. I hope I am more dilated then...that is if they check again. But, they should, right??

I definitely can feel that something is going on down there because there is soooo much pressure and back pain. And pressure on my butt.
Well here's hoping she's here this week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2008-06-27  (38 weeks)
38 1/2 weeks
After reading a few other journals on here with close due dates to mine I am now officially impatient. I'm so tired of being pregnant. I enjoy it to a certain degree... but, now...I feel like I need to be on bed rest allll the time.
I was only like 122 lbs. when i got pregnant. I am now 167 lbs. (gained about 45 lbs ), I have Gestational Diabetes, My once youthful boobies are now saggy and covered in these weird dark spots, My face is so dry and all peely allll the time. It's cracked and damaged. I have so many stretch marks that couldn't be helped because apparently the baby is growing faster than what my skin could accommodate for.
I'm almost 39 weeks and am soooo ready to have this baby and from the way she's moving in there, it seems like she wants out, too. And the castor oil....man.... it's looking pretty tasty to me right now lol.
...If only I had something to keep me busy...Or at least had any signs of progressing but so far theres been nothing. No effacement. No dilation....
Oh.....
I did think my water broke a few days ago--I woke up and the bed was wet and my butt was wet. But according to the doctor it was just a pour of mucus and vaginal secretions ...Siiigh. But he did send me home with these Q-tips. I'm supposed to stick them up there if my water breaks or I think it has broken and it turns from this orange color to blue if indeed my water has broken.

I have my next Dr.'s Appt on July 1st. Here's hoping for SOMETHING.....Siiiigh.....
NEW BELLY PICS ADDED

Oh, yeah...
I moved and the new place isnt so bad after all....so far. And...We have our kitchen set and our bed. And, we will be getting our sofa bed tomorrow or Monday.
Well...thats all for now . BYE BYE.

38 weeks
Well... It's week 38 and I'm getting so excited about the arrival of our baby.
Nothing to report though. I have my next Dr.'s appt. this Thursday so we'll see what changes, if any, can be reported then.
I move this Wednesday so that's something I'm looking forward to.
And, to be honest, I'm hoping to deliver as early as the day we move LOL
I'm ready to have this baby

OH YEA....NEW BELLY PICS COMING SOON

2008-06-16  (37 weeks)
37 weeks

So today I start my 37th week and I am very eager for things to progress. I think the baby has dropped because it seems its becoming harder and harder to get in and out of the bed and walk around. And my pelvic area hurts and pulls when I'm lying down. I have a doctor's appt. Thursday so maybe I'll find out by then.

Father's Day was great. I wrote Vincent a Happy Father's Day poem and he read it aloud. He really liked itLaughing He received a few calls and text messages from his brother and friends wishing him a Happy Father's Day, too. And the Spaghetti Dinner (we made it together) was delish! I had also mustered up a bit of strength and made us very tasty double cheeseburgers with grilled veggies: peppers, tomato, and mushroom. Oh, God! Were they good!

And the breakfast we had today was just as satisfying. Vincent had prepared the pancakes and bacon while I dished up some delectable scrambled eggs with cheese and breakfast sausage.

Other than the cooking, though, it's been a fairly lazy day.

Got no plans or events going on until Wednesday. There's the continuation of the childbirth class, my appt. with Pregnancy Services, and my meet with Sarah. And besides the forementioned doctor's appt. Thursday, this week is pretty much event-less. I'm hoping that doesnt make the week go by any slower than it already is... Frown

Well...that's all for today!

9 more days until the move!
