This entry is written in purple because we are having a little girl!! Yesterday I had my ultrasound appointment. David ended up having to stay home with Lily because she still wasn't feeling well and not eating since her bout with the flu. I had the tech write the baby's sex on a piece of paper so David and I could find out together. She even sealed it in an envelope- cause let's be honest, if she hadn't I think I might have peeked. So anyway, during the appointment the baby was moving around a lot. The tech checked the baby's position and then let me pee. When I came back and she began taking measurements, she said the baby completely flipped around! Then during the appointment the baby yawned twice (so cute to see) and rubbed her face a few times. The tech called her an acrobat. What does that mean for my future?? Lol. So anyway, the tech says it's a girl, but I thought I saw other body parts? I guess I should keep my night job.
When I got home from the appointment David and I sat down at the kitchen table and David opened the envelope. We both started reading- I think he read faster than me. The note said "Looks like you maybe having a little girl. Happy New Year." We are so excited and think it will be fun to have two little girls so close in age. Hopefully through the years they will become good friends (Check out photo album).

Girl or Boy- Tomorrow is the day!
Hi All~
First of all, it's official now, I've been feeling the baby move around. It's like little pokes in my lower abdomen. I am excited that it's the real thing now and I know I am not making it up. Second- tomorrow is the big ultrasound appointment. I am excited to find out, but will also be better prepared if they can't "see" anything this time around, like it was with Lilia. I have to read my pamplet and see how much water to drink before the appointment and when, and then just cross my fingers that they see what they need to see. David may not be able to go with me, as Lilia has come down with the 24 hour flu and has been throwing up since 3p. I read online that a toddlers first time with the flu is the worst because their body has no immunity agaist it. I can see why they say it's bad..........do I really want to be a parent to two?? LOL. Of course I do. So until tomorrow little unborn baby boy or girl.........

I'd rather not next time
Hi~
Today I had my 16 week doctor appt- where I actually get to see the doctor. It was snowing hard here all morning and the last thing I wanted to do is haul Lily and I there for this appointment (because I knew they wouldn't do much). But I sucked it up and drove through the slimy, wet, sometimes slippery roads to get there. Lily was so well behaved, just sat on my lap through the appointment, and then sat by my side while they checked her siblings heartbeat. Baby's heartrate was 152 today. I weighed in at 128.8, so I've gained 2.8 pounds since I came last time. Dr. B said my iron levels were amazing, which surprised me since I was anemic after delievering Lily. Dr. B says I look great, baby is doing good, and we should come back beginning of Feb. All that for that. So I fed Lily lunch in the lobby, then she wanted to play with all the cool toys there since we didn't have to wait at all when we arrived. After she seemed satisifed enough we drove home- and she ate lunch again when we got home- the girl never stops eating!
Doctor says I should start to feel the baby in the next couple weeks, but I think I already have. I hope the "parts" are big enough to see in a couple weeks! I am excited to have part of they "mystery" solved. Also, I took my 16 week pic but haven't posted it yet, so keep checking back.
With Love,
Misty

I didn't take NO for an answer
Hi All~
I really wanted to have our U/S on December 31st because David would be off work for New Years Eve. So today I decided to call Kaiser and see if they had any cancellations for Dec 31st--- and they did! They had two- one for a far location from our house, and one that is pretty close- for 2:45p. So our date is reset for Dec 31st at 2:45p. Now we can all go as a happy family.
Another update- I've been working out- at least 7 days in a row now. I feel much better. Yesterday and today Lily and I went for jogs- each 28 minutes. My ellipitcal broke now too, so I am really up a creek- we are supposed to get snow for the next three days.
My belly has definately made its appearance. I am pregnant. And my belly button already is sticking out, OH MY. I am planning to take a belly pic soon for my album.
