Time flies so fast. Imagine we are now on our 20th week. Mama will have her pre-natal check-up on the 17th.
Guess what??? It seems that Dada had told everyone what we have found out yesterday. I spoke to one of my colleagues here who happened to be your Dada's supervisor's girlfriend. He was telling everyone yesterday that you are girl. He must be so excited huh! He got what he had wished for. I just hope that it'll remain like that. I'm just worried that it was a mistake. As I remember one of my friends, when she had her U/S on her 6th month, her doctor said it was a girl. To their surprise, it was a boy! Well, it really doesn't matter to me. Just knowing that you are active and growing well is enough for us.
Anyway, have a look at my photo taken today. How do I look?

It's a girl!
You made us very happy today. I got up at 8am with all the excitement, getting ready for the big day. We've finally reached the hospital and waited for Dr. Sasi, the Radiologist.
I laid down in bed. I was alone in the room at first with the nurse. Dada was outside. Dr. Sasi said that he would take the measurements first. All the while he was taking the measurements, I couldn't see you at all. The monitor was on my side. That doctor is such a joker! He said that he would not tell me your gender even if we insist.
After he has done all those measurements, he called your Dada in. And there he explained everything. That you were so active and looks like you're playing football inside my tummy. You are now weighing 321 gms. Everything is in normal condition. According to my LMP you are now 20 weeks and 2 days.
I got up. The scanning was finished. He was talking to Dada outside the room and told him to wait for 15 minutes for the report.
So, we waited outside, anxiously waiting... I was tensed and excited to know. The nurse handed over the report to me and smiled. Then the doctor followed in the waiting area. He asked me did you see the report, I said yes. He walked away. We followed him, as if he was really joking around of not wanting to tell us the gender. Dada asked him, so what's the gender of our baby? He said do you really wanna know? Of course yes. What do you want? Dada replied : GIRL???? With questions on his face. I was staring at the doctor trying to figure out his facial expressions and he nodded.
Yes! It's a girl!
Anyway, here's what the report says:
Uterus shows a single fetus.
BPD measures 4.7cm
FL measures 3.3cm
AC measures 14.1cm
Fetal heart pulsation appears normal.
Normal fetal movements are seen.
There is no evidence of fetal anomalies seen.
Placenta is located anteriorly.
Amniotic fluid volume is adequate.
Fetal weight as per USS is 321 grams.

Toss and Turn
Yesterday at 9am, I woke up hungry. So I got up and made some breakfast for us : toasted bread and sunny side-up. After sometime, I went back to bed and slept for a while. Dada woke me up. I didn't want to get up but then you started playing around. This time you were kicking real hard. I said let's give it a try, let Dada feel you also. So I called him and touched my tummy, he patiently waited for you to move. And you did! Dada did feel you for the first time. He was grinning with all excitement.

Week 19
Today is the beginning of our 19th week. Since the day I told Dada about your first movements, he's been more excited each day. He never fails to touch you before he goes to sleep. He's trying very hard to feel you but I guess, right now, it's only for the two of us.
