You were born on:
May 9, 2008
| |
You weighed:
7 lb 2 oz
| |
And your length was:
18 inches
| |
After much thought, you were named:
Alyssa Ruth Blevins
| |
The first thing I thought when I saw you was:
She is so perfect! I love her so much! Is she okay???
| |
The hardest part of the delivery experience was:
the end, turning Alyssa the right direction, getting her out so fast, and then worrying about her breathing
| |
The easiest part of the delivery experience was:
waiting for the contractions to dialate me
| |
What surprised me most about the delivery experience was:
The epidural did not hurt AT ALL! I was so shocked because I had been dreading it.
| |
This is what happened the day you were born:
I started having contractions at 5am, and I was already scheduled to induce labor at 7am, so I went in and things got started.
| |
The big world events of the day were:
I'm not really sure, I wasn't paying much attention. Maybe I'll look back and say "oh yeah that's when Hillary and Obama were trying to become president" (as scary as that is!)

| |
What I can't wait to do with you:
show you to all my friends and family. have our first year together with all the holidays and your first birthday! And savor every moment because I know you'll only be this little once.
