Aargh. This kid is a rough one! I don't remember feeling so sick with the first two, but I guess with them I didn't have as much on my plate as now. I finally caved and called the doctor, and they prescribed me something to take during the day and phenergen (sp?) at night. It's helped a lot. I think most of it was that I was on antibiotics for awhile and they were what were (oof, what a sentence) making me sick.
I worked a lot last week because my boss went out of town on vacation (hence very few postings so far). When she finally got back I asked for the day off so I could get some rest. I'm so tired all the time! It does seem to be getting better though. Comeon, second trimester!
I splurged and got some hair extensions. They're fun, about 14" long. I'll post a picture at some point! It was quite the pick me up, let me tell you. Sean was cute the other night--he said "you'd better be making a boy in there!" No pressure, or anything, hehe.
Well, off to get the groceries. Bleh.

It's official...7 weeks today. Yesterday was my first actual "New OB" visit. I had an ultrasound to see the heartbeat, met with an OB/GYN (who wasn't my actual one, since he was out of town. She was really nice though.) and got a ton of free samples. I also got blood drawn, and oooooh my goodness. They took 5 vials! Sheesh.
Everything is going well. Went to ND for a week, and that was nice but we're happy to be back home. Emily didn't do well out of her normal environment it seems. Ben's in preschool again. His teacher said "I sure hope my son grows up to be smart like Benjamin!" and asked me what my secret was. I said there's about 6 different people working on it, and one marjorly awesome tool was the leapfrog. I will recommend that till the day I die.
I read about something called a "preggo-pool"...would anyone be interested in going in? You pay a certain amount per guess, and the things you guess are time and date when the baby will be born, the gender, the weight and height, what color hair, how long labor is... and whoever gets the most right guesses (either by sheer volume of guesses or by accuracy, hehe_ splits the pot with the new baby's family. I think it's a fun idea! If y'all think its an ok idea let me know, and I'll send out notes to everyone in the mail.
One nice pregnancy symptom I've been feeling is the super-charged maternal wonderfulness. I worry a lot about spreading the mommy love around to the kiddos, just like every other mom out there I'm sure. It's nice to feel secure in that =)
Well, better get the groceries and the cleaning done. TTFN, talk to you all soon!

Day two of journal, 5 weeks 1 day in! Today I had my first official craving..well, I guess not quite a craving yet, more like a very yummy smell that makes you the kind of happy only a woman who has been pregnant can appreciate! I've been wanting cheese for breakfast, Muenster to be exact, and I opened the sealed container and Waalaah! Bliss! Ooooh, muenster my muenster!
Another thing that chewing on cheese helps with is taking my prenatal. I've always had such a hard time with it, but I promised myself I'd give it another good shot if I ever need to. I went to the drugstore and actually picked up generic over-the-counter prenatals...they were buy one get one, and the same price as my prescription! Bu-yah! For some reason, all prenatals are GIGANTIC and I have yet to find one that splits the dose to twice daily.
I asked the pharmacist, and she said it's actually better to take them in the morning and at night, because you can absorb the most vitamins that way. If you're on a vitamin and can split it up, it's good advice...some bodies can only take in so much at a time, and the rest is just peed out. So she showed me where the pill crusher/cutter was, and I was a happy camper! They taste absolutely horrendous--but being split up makes it so I dont gag, bleh.
I've been thinking about it, and work is going to be really great while I still feel well while I'm on my feet. And my boss is so awesome, I know she'd let me take a little break if need be and sit behind the register instead of stand. =) It's my sanity time, and I love it--so hopefully it'll keep me going and I can do it a long time! More than one person has said that this go-around is during a much less stressful part of my life, and it's so very true. I can be very patient and cautious, and I'm not worried about much at all. Just impending triple kid-dom.
Well, better play with Emily...she's started to really squwack (sp?) when she wants some entertainment! Oh, and she started scooting forward this morning...not sure how long she's been able to do that, but it's much better than how she was always stuck in reverse!
Love all-SEBA

Surprise! It's a baby!
It's been a crazy few weeks. We wanted to wait for another kiddo, or maybe not have another one at all, but looks like this little one made other plans! We're adjusting, and I'm getting more and more excited every day.
I went and got a bunch of maternity clothes yesterday, since my pants are already tight. You could blame bloating or 2 earlier babies, but whatever it is, I need bigger pants! Also, it's fun to have shirts that make me look like I'm actually pregnant and not just that I had one too many cheeseburgers, hehe.
I have my second ultrasound on the 9th. My first one was just to see how far along I was, since I had no idea I was even pregnant. This one will see a heartbeat! (lord almighty, we only have the strength for ONE!)
Last pregnancy ended 2 months ahead of schedule, so for this one, I'll probably be walkin' on eggshells a bit. We'll definitely be a lot more cautious this time, to say the least!
We are moving into a bigger apartment...a 2 bedroom isn't going to cut it anymore. We actually are even thinking about renting a house, which would be wonderful--I really hate having noisy neighbors on the other side of the wall! I like my peace and quiet, to say the least.
