32 weeks and counting!!

Boy are you keeping mommy up at night!! I know that it is something that can drive me crazy at times, but I am trying to cherish every minute that I have you to myself. I love feeling you move everyday, and telling daddy when to watch so he can see how active you are. Son, you have no idea how loved you are already. We cant wait until you are here with us everyday. Although I am sure I will miss you being so close to me, I cannot wait for you to meet all these people. Mommy has a wonderful support system in your family.

We have your nursery almost completely done, 8 weeks ahead of you. But I know, you will love it!

Im getting very nervous about you coming into this world. But it is something that I know I can accomplish. Daddy is so excited about everything. He cant tell enough people about you. Hes such a sweetie. I think you will love him as much as I do.

My pregnancy has been pretty uneventful. Thankfully. I am anemic and have to take iron. My wieght has went down instead of up. But sometimes that happens. You are measuring just the way you are supposed to. So I must be doing something right!!

Its A Boy!!

We found out on August 27th that we are having a little boy! That is what both daddy and I were hoping for! We are so excited because my sister is having a little girl, so my family will have one of each to start out with. I cant believe how fast everything is going. As of this past thursday I am 24 weeks or 6 months pregnant. We have about 16 weeks to go. It seems like time is flying. We are trying to get the bedroom together. Its alot more work than what we thought. The last couple of years we have been piling that room full of stuff. Now we have no where to put it all. LOL. And of course I dont want to throw anything out. I want to keep it all. We weren't planning on buying a house for a while still, hopefully our little place will hold all three of us! The day we found out that "it" was a "him" we went shopping. Daddy and I bought all kinds of cute clothes for out little man. It seems like it would be easier to have a little girl, there is so much cute stuff for them. The boys attire is pretty limited. We have picked out a jungle themed crib set that we are basing the entire room on. It has the perfect blue and green. We took them colors and made curtains for the room. I am so proud of how they turned out! We also went and bought the big wood letters that spell out Lucas, we painted them blue and green and are going to hang them on the wall. Now if we could just get Grandpas butt down here to get the painting started. We are still try to decide how to paint. We know that we want two walls blue and green with some sort of texture or pattern. The other two walls with the window and closet we are leaving white. We just cant wait to get everything done so it is perfect when our son comes home!!

Past my 12 weeks wait!!

I am 12 weeks and 6 days today. That makes me happy that my risk of miscarriage has went down. Im just hoping that up until now everything has gone ok. I have had my first ultra sound and was able to see the baby and hear the heart beat. But since then we have not heard it although they tried today! The doctor and nurse do not seem so worried about it as each person hears it at different times with the doplar machine. I have another appointment in a month and hopefully we can hear it load and clear then. Im definatly feeling the pressure around this time. I feel like we are doing everything we can to keep up and its not working. Although we are very excited, I am also stressed out. Lol. Go figure. We are finally married. We were married on May 31st. And we took our honeymoon for a week to Gatlinburg Tennessee. It was the most beautiful thing ever!! Now all three of us will have the same last name!! YAY!! Oh yeah. My blood pressure seems to be staying pretty normal. The Doc seems to think it will be ok as he didnt put me on any medication. Im sure we will be watching it closely still. Also, Brandon got his test results back and he is NOT a carrier of cystic fibrosis. So thats a great thing!! Ill update soon...if I can remember!!

Finding Out

We took two pregnancy tests two days after my 22nd birthday! After waiting for what seemed like hours, we got a "pregnant" result. We were so excited! We have waited for this day for a long time. My sister, Aunt Reva, had just found out that she was pregnant and due on November 25th. Which is Daddy Brandons birthday. I was so surprised by the news. But we vowed that we would continue business as usual and hope for the best. Shortly after I got out BFP!! Reva was told that she had a miscarriage. We were devistated. But she promised to continue to be a PROUD AUNT TO BE. While I was an auntie to an angel. Since then she has found out that she is still very much pregnant. And we couldnt be more excited. So far, my due date is December 25th. A Christmas Day baby!! How exciting! There is a long hard road ahead of us. And we are taking it one day at a time. I have completely stopped smoking. Not that I was smoking much before. I have cut all my pop down to one a day. I have begun to eat better. And we are going walking every other day to help get in some kind of shape. Believe me its hard. Because I already know that round is a shape. LOL! I havent had too much morning sickness so far. I feel nausous and queesy but no actual sickness. I am hoping to skip that part. I cant wait to meet my baby. We are hoping for a boy. But we wouldnt be upset either way! I'll write again soon and keep everyone updated!!
