Our house hunting days are over. We have found "the one"! Granted it isn't our dream home, but then again we aren't millionaires either…so "the one" for us is one that has potential to make it into what we want but still be decent enough to live in until we do. Actually we weren't even really supposed to start looking until this house was on the market (end of April/beginning of May) but curiousity to see what is out there (and get an idea of where we wanted to be geographically) got the best of us and voila there it was. I've spent 2 years "window" shopping on the net for homes and hands down by far this is the best deal I've seen in something that fits our needs. We will be going from a 1,650 square foot home with 4 bedrooms, 1 bath on .33 acres in the city to a 4,116 square foot home with 6 bedrooms, 4 baths on 4.45 acres in the country. What makes the deal even sweeter is that with the equity that we've built in our home by remodeling it and sticking it out for 7 years when it was way too small, we will be in a bit better financial shape then we are now to boot! We could not ask for more. The possibilities alone of what we could do with that much land and that much home are endless. We can not wait to start the newest venture of our lives. Of course we have to actually close on the home (4/24) and sell ours in order to be stress free enough to enjoy it, but it will happen. We've gotten this far haven't we? J

Jonathan update
I am loving every minute of his babyhood, he is such a doll! He has started reaching out for you when you put your arms out and it just melts me. He LOVES Kasey he just laughs his little head off whenever Kasey comes near him. Of course same goes for the cats…he will make himself dizzy when in his jumper or exersaucer trying to watch them if they are near him. Speaking of dizzy, this kid does NOT sit still. He jumps and bounces like a maniac. Even if you are holding him you'd better have a good grip or off he goes. We've nicknamed him "Tiger" and it fits! He's starting to grab fingers and pull himself up…or heck, forget the fingers he just arches his back and stands! He's holding his bottle like a pro too! No real mobility yet though, he absolutely HATES being put on his stomach at all and he won't roll over either…he'll just lay there and cry. Needless to say we don't have much tummy time around here. That is OK I am sure not in any hurry for him to be all over the house! He's also turned into an early riser lately….and oh this is not too fun lol.He can't just get up and sit quietly and play either…oh no that would be too easy…he has to SCREAM (talking scream not crying) at the top of his lungs until the whole house is awake. There is NO keeping him quiet. It's actually cute; well if you consider keeping your eyelids open with toothpicks while you have a migraine cute lol. He's very loud the rest of the day too…he just loves to make sure you know he is there. He hasn't been sleeping well the last week either. He has been up 1-2 times a night to eat which, since he has been sleeping for 7-9 hours straight for months now, I'm pretty sure this means it is growth spurt time (and maybe some teeth). He isn't up fussing, he wakes up, downs 6 oz bottles in minutes and back to sleep he goes - definitely a hungry growing boy.I've tried to provide more solids during the day thinking he just isn't getting enough from the formula anymore but even though we started cereal at 4 months and veggies at 4.5, he really has yet to "take" to baby food. He's just not into it much. He'll open his mouth wide for a few bites but then usually spits it out at me. I don't mean push it out of his mouth with his tongue either, I mean SPIT. He does this even without food in his mouth, it's actually cute (without the food) BUT point is he isn't getting much food in (maybe 1-2 ounces twice a day) and he'll be 8 months next week. Most of my kids were eating "meals" with us by 9ish months and I think part of his issue is he doesn't like baby food (they didn't either). He wants PEOPLE food. I gave him some very soft cooked carrots last week and he LOVED them. Unfortunately he has no teeth (none of mine did until 9+ months or close to it) so I have to watch what he can have. That is OK, we'll just up the formula consumption and keep trying some new foods (going to try a really soft banana today) and see how it goes. As long as he keeps gaining weight there are no worries.
