Hey Holly!

Congrats on the upcoming birth of your son! We had a baby boy six months ago, and though we SWORE we'd circumsize our baby if it was a boy, once he was born, we just couldn't. My husbad IS, but neither of us could bear the thought of inflicting any sort of discomfort on our precious little one. That's the way God made him, that's the way he should be!

As for the breastfeeding, do what you are comfortable with. I'm breastfeeding, but had all sorts of issues and it FOR SURE can be painful while you're getting the hang of it! You're the parents, it's your decision, nobody elses!! :o) Although, you might as well get used to everyone telling you what to do. They seem to think they all know what's best for your child!! Irritating! Anyhow, good luck! You'll do great!!

Hi there Don't let others get you down - my husband is not circumsised either and we are not getting our son circumsised. It is no ones business!!!! Good for you for standing up for what you believe in!! Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy! I have 5 weeks to go! Charmaine Australia

My babe is almost seven months old now, but I still like to look at the blogs on this site and when I read your last entry, I had to laugh, because I wanted a girl sooooooooooo bad and I kept saying things like, "Boys are stupid, I don't know anything about boys, what would I do with a boy?" As my due date drew nearer, I worried that I would have a boy and then all my friends and co-workers and family etc, would feel sorry for me if I had a boy ("Oh, poor Megan and she sooo wanted a girl)and even worse, they would feel sorry for my baby! I never did find out the sex until the minute my baby popped out and my husband looked over my leg and said, "Guess what? It's a girl!" I have to say, that moment, that tiny second of my life is just about the most special time I've ever experienced. You may have already found out the sex of your baby before you read this, and besides the fact that it's NONE of my business, but the surprise is sweet and sometimes not  knowing is part of the experience. And it REALLY drives everyone nuts when you say you don't know what you're having! My biggest problem was not knowing what to buy, but who cares if you have lots of yellow and green things in your nursery? Lots of time to shop for pink or blue things once you're on mat leave!!! Anyway, sorry about the long entry from a person you don't even know, but good luck with everything and if you get an epi, it's not really that bad (trust me, I didn't believe that line either, but it's the truth!!)
