No wonder you're starting to feel huge -- it's crowded in there! The growing pressure on your bladder may mean frequent trips to the loo -- which can make a good night's sleep difficult. You may be gaining around 500g/ 1lb a week now and roughly half of that goes right to your baby. In fact, he'll gain a third to half of his birth weight during the next seven weeks, fattening up for survival outside the womb. Thanks to these fatty deposits, his skin is getting plumper and looking healthier.

Back to WORK
I have been off with flu for a week and I didn't miss the office one bit. Not being able to take any medication has been awful but I am coming out the other side now. With moving and all, everything took it's toll on my little body I think.
"My baby's head is getting bigger, and brain growth is very rapid at this time. Nearly all babies react to sound by 30 weeks." My baby is reacting alright, haven't worked out that it is specifically to sounds yet but the movement is slower and more pushing on my belly than a kicking/flicking feeling.

3rd Trimester - Scarey
This week marks the beginning of the 3rd trimester, which is a big step for you and the baby! Around this time bump begins opening and closing her eyes which have been fused shut for much of the pregnancy. Other changes that are happening:
The baby's lungs are growing rapidly.
The baby's brain wave patterns are similar to a newborn at birth.
You should feel at least ten kicks within a two hour period ( 7-10pm is a very active period).
Baby's Size (head to rump) this week: 9.7 inches, 15.25 inches (head to toes), Weight: a little more than 2 lbs
The baby's size is about the length of a standard kitchen spatula.
