Excitment before the BIG DAY!!

Tomorrow Bret and I will have our first OB appointment.  I truly don't remember what all I went through with Chelsea, that was over 11 years ago.  I'm sure they will take some blood and I pray we get to hear the heartbeat.  I am bringing the camera because I can't wait for Bret's reaction to hearing it for the first time.  That will be a priceless moment.

I'll keep you all posted and hopefully I can get a snapshot of the little bugger to post on the site.

Strangers in the Night

Catchy title, but really sometimes I feel as I am the one who is going through the changes and poor Bret just has to listen to me whine.
I thank him daily for listening to me vent about what ever it is on my mind that day, work, school even the fact I pee 5 times a night. The biggest one though is being tired.  Holy cow that is something that takes some getting use to.   I like going from sun up to sun down, but this little guy inside me is draining all my energy.  I work our for an hour and it feels like I ran a three day marathon.  YIKES!!

I had my first bout of sickness, but we rushed to get to the Lions game on Sunday.   That could have played a huge part in the matter.

Two more weeks and we get to have our first glimps of the little bugger.  I can't wait.

Time is Moving Slow

Hello,

Time sure does seem to move slow when you have a baby on the way.  We turned 6 weeks this week, but it has seemed like forever since we found out.

The baby received it's first gift from Erin this weekend.   Naturally she would give me a Michigan Wolverines Pacificer.    GO BLUE!!  She also gave Bret and I a gift to help get us started on the baby room.  Were pretty set on the seascape ideas where it's a boy or a girl.

Haven't really even came up with any names, we are still going through the 100,000 names in the book Bret bought for us.  He is still in the boy section.

We've both had a good time telling our family and friends about the new addition.  It's always an exciting time when someone you love is going to have a baby.

So far so good on the morning/noon/night sickness.   I actually have only had one day of not feeling well.  Hopefully that will be the only one.  YEAH

The Happy News

I was about a week late, but then started to have some small spotting.  But something inside of me felt like this could be it.

On Thursday the 4h, I took a HPT, and sure enough it was positive.   Just to make sure though I went to the doctor and they confirmed the great news.

After an afternoon of trying to thing of the most creative way to tell Bret, I finally came up with the perfect way.  I had given him the move "Knocked Up' the day before, so that blew that big plan, so I gave him a card  stating some special happend to him, then I showed him the test and it finally hit him.   He jumped up and gave me a huge hug and we told Chelsea what was happening.
Chelsea was excited as can be.  She can not wait to be a Big Sister.

We then called both sets of parents and they are happy as can be.

Now the fun and exciting times begin.  I get to pick out some cool colors for the loft and decorate it for the baby's room.
