The sweet sound of a Heartbeat!!!

The happy family got to take their first listen at the heartbeat of the little surprise inside of me.  Chels and Bret were both there to witness the noise.

Bret and her both had big eyes and the 'thunderous heartbeat'.  It was really neat to hear and see their responses.

In about another month well find out what the newest member will be.

 A boy or a girl

And who says they can't have the Hiccups

I went for our first regular ultrasound this week.  As the lady was strolling over the belly we saw the little guy bouncing up and down every few moments.  Realizing that he/she actually had the hiccups.  It was such an enjoyment to see her/him bouncing like a little ball.    I did get six pictures of it.  There are two hands, and two feet, mind you the feet look huge, like father like child I guess, but it looks really good so far.    It was so exciting, we go next week to listen to the heartbeat.

All is going well, baby is growing right on schedule.  I'm still fitting into my clothes, no real weight gain yet, but it's so much more comfortable when I get to lounge around in my athletic gear.

As for me, I'm still tired on some days, and thankfully I only need to pee two maybe three times a night.  Mostly when the dog wakes up, hey when you gotta go you gotta go right!!

I am going to make my maternal guess and say I'm carrying a boy.  Something inside tells me that this baby is a boy and he is going to come out looking like his daddy.

I posted the ultrasound pictures in the photo album area!!!!

A Thanksgiving to remember

The days seem to be going by slowly.  I have to admit I am extremely lucky that I didn't have bouts of morning sickness or all day sickness.  There was a few days here and there where I was alittle under the weather, but for the most part things have been going very smooth and uneventful.

This week I go in for the genetic testing and an ultrasound.  It's still to early to tell the baby's sex, but I'll see if I can get another snapshot of the jellybean.

Next week we go for the first doppler ultrasound test.  I can't wait to hear the baby's heartbeat, Chelsea, Bret and I are all going to go.  She is super excited to be apart of this whole process.

For thanksgiving, we didn't do the normal turkey.  We were with my folks and cooked a prime rib,  the best we have ever tasted.  It was perfect and we didn't have the turkey coma.  Instead of doing the Black Friday, mom and I did the shopping online.  Wow that was so much easier than getting up at 4 am.

Bret did get a deer on Saturday, so that really up'd his spirits for this holiday weekend.  A nice 4 pointer with a big belly.

There is only ONE!!!

Well Ladies and Gentleman, we did it.  Bret and I took the first peek at the little bugger today.  All is doing well in there, we are pretty much on schedule at 9 weeks and 3 days according to the size.  Or course he is only the size of a kidney bean but hey, we saw the flittering of the heartbeat and YES there was a set of tears that followed.

I have attached a picture of the newest member of the Badertscher Family
