Baby has arrived!

Were at 3, and 50% effaced

For those of you who actually know what that means.

I went to the doctor yesterday, I am at 3 cm dilated and my cervicx is 50% effaced,  The baby's head is engaged at -3.

So needless to say he could

1. stay there for another few more weeks or
2.  He is making his little way down that canal and wanting to see his daddy pretty darn soon.

The bags are packed and everything is ready in the car.  Were going to try and take in a few games this weekend since the Yanks and Red Sox's are in town,  and yes well have the bag with us just in case.

Baby Shower Gifts and the Pre Game show!!

I want to thank everyone who was able to attend the shower.  Bam Bam received so many lovely gifts and I had such a great time with everyone.

Yesterday was an exciting day.  I was driving home from Houghton Lake with Chelsea to the party and I thought I started having contractions.  I wasn't sure what was going on, but those things did hurt.  Thankfully by the time the party started they had stopped, but I still did get some sharp pains throughout the shower.

Well today just to be on the safe side I made an appointment with the doctors.

HOLY COW Ladies and Gentleman we are dilated at 2.

When I had Chelsea I went to the hospital dilated at 3 and she came out later that evening.  I was at my due date so I wasn't to concerned.

Needless to say I had alot to get done before this day could finish.  Heck we still hadn't bought the car seat or over little essentials like diapers and wipes for the little guy.  Off shopping I went and a few hours later the baby's room was completely decked out with all the things that new parents will need.
Bret spent a few hours putting together the car seat and stroller while Chels and I cleaned house and put away all the baby items.

So far so good this evening, haven't had many contractions or Braxton Hicks.  I do have another appointment on Wednesday so I'll keep you all updated.

6 weeks and counting down.

Yes I am in that phase of counting down.

It's getting harder to sleep at night, even with pillows and a big Bret bear to lay up against.  This little guy inside me will be a great kicker on some sports team.  Wow those things are painful.

Check up last week was good.  Your in the head down position, and your arms and feet are right up inside my lungs, ribs and stomach.  Geez thanks bam bam.  No wonder I can't eat, sleep or breath.

I know, I know.  It's all for a GREAT cause.

Chelsea has made his homecoming outfit.  It's really cute.  She is so excited to have the new addition, plus were doing all we can to make sure she can be in with us during the delivery.  I have 2 doctors who say it's okay, only 3 more to go.

All is well here at the Badertscher place.  Just getting excited more and more as the days count down.

Have a few more appointments set up for the month of May.  I'll keep you all posted.

And the Dots are complete

Bret did a wondeful job this weekend painting the last of the circles/dots on the walls.  I'd have to say it looks really good.   Here is a picture of some of the room.  I steam cleaned the carpets and hopefully this weekend we will get the crib all set up.

Over last weekend we went to a birthing class.  Learned some pretty amazing things, and took a tour of the hospital.  They aren't very keen on Chels being in the birthing room with me, but for all of you who know me, I'm about as stubborn as my dad and it will be a rare occassion that I don't get what I want.

Had another baby check up yesterday and all is well.  Time sure does fly when the last few months are approaching.
