The first time I felt you kick:
It was around 17-18 weeks. I was waiting for the kicks to start at the end of my 16th week and when i felt them at first in week 17, i was not sure it was the baby.

It felt like:
First kicks felt very light - one could not feel them from the outside. I was not sure if it was food digestion or the baby. Also, i kept feeling my own pulse all the time :)

I felt:
Puzzled - are those realy the baby kicks? Once i started feeling them more frequently and they became stronger, it felt much better. It's especially fun now (at 21 weeks) to have daddy put his hand on my stomach and feel the kicks.

The strangest food craving I've had is:
Qdoba for 2 weeks; Indian food for 2 weeks;

This month's prenatal visit taught me that:
Baby is a boy!!!
It was the second (and hopefully last) ultrasound of the pregnancy. It was very exciting to see the baby's head, legs and of course the "boy thing"!!!

My hopes:
I'm very happy the baby is a boy. I hope it's going to be big, strong and healthy from the very birth. I hope the boy will be smart and not too naughty :)

My fears:
Family conflicts and misunderstandings regarding the baby's upbringing (after all it's going to be mixed race/mixed culture baby - Latvian born Russian mother and Pakistani father growing up in America - Oye!).
