Got my H1N1 Shot

Yesterday was my Check-up at the OB. I was surprised to learn that they are out of seasonal flu shots. I was supposed to get one yesterday. I have learned since then that this may be a wide spread problem in our area. My Mom got one on Monday and it may have been one of the last in the area, she said that she would have gladly let me have it. Well, anyways, they did have the H1N1 shot so I am now protected from that.

All looks good with the baby. My Dr. had a hard time picking up his (her) heartrate, so she brought in the ultrasound machine. He (she) is looking good. Little feet were kicking like crazy in there. He (she) is pretty big- took up the whole screen. Unfortunately, the Dr. didn't print me a picture, so I don't have one to post for you to see. :(

I put on 5lbs this month. The Dr. was happy about that. She seems to change her mind from month to month about whether 5 lbs is too much or not. I know one month when I put on 5 with Mia, I got a little talking too about putting on too much too fast. This time she was happy. I was not! What if I were to put on 5lbs a month all 9 months? UGH!!!!

I have been having some tummy trouble and she told me about some OTC stuff that I can take. I hope it helps. It is hard to have a tummy ache every single day.

There is an advertisement on the side of my screen with a baby on it. Mia just came over and started yelling: BABY< BABY< BABY.. that is her favorite word!!

Please join with me in prayer for my Step Dad who was diagnosed with cancer this week.

A conversation that I had with a First Grader

First Grader: Um, Ryan's Mom (one of the many names that I answer to).

Me: Yes

FG: My brother told me that you are going to have another baby. Are you? (He looks at my belly when he asks this)

Me; Yes I am

FG: If you have a boy, I think you should name him Zeke. That is my favorite name.

Me; I will tell Mr Ryan that is what you think.

FG: Or Chris, I like the name Chris too!

At this point Ry chimes in with if you have a girl, Mom can you name her Sara? Because my Math problem said that Ryan made 6 quarts of soup and Sara made 4!

Typing it sort of takes away from the funnyness of the conversation because you can't hear the way that he was saying it. But he was so excited. Practically jumping out of his skin to make sure that I name my baby Zeke (or Chris) because those are his favorite names.

SURPRISE!

Okay, Folks. I am sure that by now you have all heard about our amazing surprise. I was not feeling well for about three days when it occurred to me that maybe I am pregnant. The pregnancy test revealed that that was indeed what was making my tummy grumpy. I know I know with the fourth one, you would think that I would have gotten a clue sooner, but hey I wasn't expecting this.

I am now officially through the first trimester, but I wish someone would tell my tummy that it can start feeling better now. This pregnancy to date ranks as my second hardest one (following Ryan). No matter what I eat, I feel yucky. Ryan Sr. has been a BIG help this time around. He does all of the cooking and doesn't get too offended if I look at his food (or just smell it) and walk away.

Ryan Jr. is so excited to have another sibling that he went to school and told his school counselor right away. So sorry, but the school counselor found out before some of you.

Keenan told me one morning that he hopes that this baby has a brown face. I had to explain to him that babies don't have brown faces unless their Mommies and Daddies have brown faces. Oh from the mouths of babes! He is excited to be able to welcome a new member to the family. He keeps saying that it will be so nice when the baby is born so Mi-Mi (that is what he calls Mia) will have a baby friend to play with.

Mia is 17 mos old and completely clueless about what is going on which is to be expected. She is very active though and on more than one occasion I have had to reprimand her for jumping on my stomach.

I have been to the Doctor already and had my first ultrasound. All looks good. She is not declaring me high risk this time around at all, nor requiring me to take any nasty hormones. Though she did put me on a very expensive antibiotic which multiplied my feelings of yuckiness for a bladder infection. That was fun!!

Our house is up for sale and we have an accepted offer in on a 4 bedroom home in the city of Burlington. It is a very nice house and fits all are needs. We are praying that this house sells quickly. If you know anyone in the market for a 3 Bdroom home on the edge of Burlington, please send them our way. We need a buyer and we need one fast!!!

Well, time to end my blogging time and put on my Taxi Driver Uniform as it is time to get Ryan from school.
