I am now 31 weeks pregnant.

textbook pregnancy??

although I didn't have to rush to the doctor's office this week doesn't mean I didn't have stuff going on.  The test came back negative I didn't have an infection which is great news!

I did however have a lil bit of a scare though, I starting having braxton hicks contractions, freaked me out, I thought this was way too early because I didn't get them with Kaniya until I was 28 weeks.  I called the nurse and they said it is perfectly normal in a twin pregnancy to feel them as early as 12 weeks, what a relief, but because they were so consistent they wanted to watch them and drink water until they stopped.

The next thing that happened just yesterday was pain across my stomach and my ribs, round ligament pain to be exact, that stretching feeling had my whole stomach sore, it's just now feeling a lil better.

Lastly today at my cardiologist appointment I found out that my blood pressure was a lil high and if it remains high at my OB visit on Monday I will have to be on medication, let's pray it changes.  She also requested I see her monthly and that I get a echocardigram, cool thing about this is that they might go ahead and take a peek at the babies too for me, so maybe I'll have more ultrasound pics for you, and maybe even know the sex :)

So far this pregnancy has been nothing like my first, I keep saying with all this you would think that I had never even been pregnant before :)

I swear I'm not a hypochondriac

I ended up calling the doctor yet again this week because I was having symptoms of a UTI, the test came back negative which means it could have moved into my kidneys and not showing on the dip test, they have to send my urine for culture and I'll get the results on Monday, until then I am on antibiotics just in case because a kidney infection can be very bad for the babies.

My little peanuts are doing great, it was much easier finding their heartbeats this time 150bpm and 156bpm, I know I will get my next ultrasound in 6 weeks woo-hoo can't wait to see them again and find out what they are. Until then just looking forward to our trip to Miami.

unexpected appointment today

I ended up going to the doctor today because I could barely walk I was in pain, cramping in my lower stomach and pain in my lower back.  I got worried but knew everything would be ok.  I got to the doctor and when they checked my weight I had lost 5lbs, which makes my total weight gain(loss) -1.5lbs, I am 1.5lbs less than where I started...yippee!!

The nurse decided to try and find the babies heartbeats even though it was a little early to detect with the doppler.  We had a hard time finding both, but once we did, we had healthy heartbeats 140bpm and 150bpm, I was so happy to hear my little peanuts again.  The doctor told me the pain was caused by the faster rate of growth of my uterus with the twins, it's to be expected, painful but expected.  My appt. for next Tuesday was cancelled and I see Dr Silver again on May 19th right before our trip to Miami.

Its early, and it's not GAS
I felt the babies move for the first time on Saturday.  That unnoticeable brush across the belly happened while I was driving to Target, and it was just the kind of thing I needed to give me that feeling of yup they are really in there.  Since then I feel it at least once a day usually at night when I'm getting ready to dose off, hope that isn't a sign that they will be up at night kicking me.  I can't wait until my next appointment on April 29th, I get to hear their little heartbeats again, it's been since week 6 that I had that kind of confirmation.  Also I have been doing good on the weight only 4lbs so far and I hope to continue to do right and keep that number down while still remaining healthy for them.
