We had our ultrasound today and the babies are doing great here are their stats...

Baby A

Heartbeat - 150bpm

Weight - 12+ ounces

Week - 20 weeks, 2 days

Baby B

Heartbeat - 160 bpm

Weight - 12+ ounces

Week - 20 weeks, 2 days

and for the big news we are having...

GIRLS!!

I had my appt today with the perinatologist, it was a really good and informatitive appt.  i found out that he will suggest to my OB that I am put on bedrest as of 26 weeks, also suggests that my cervical length be checked weekly because with twins its possible to start dialating and not know it and this type of ultrasound will find any problems early.  He said that my weight gain...6lbs total...is great and it would be just fine if I didn't gain another pound, whch would be just fine with me. 

I got a real surprise today He was going to measure my belly size and listen to the heartbeats, he did the measurement and I am measuring 25 weeks in a normal pregnancy.  But he didn't want to use the doppler to listen for heartbeats because they want to make sure he isn't listening to the same baby twice, so he had me go for a heart scan via ultrasound :)  this was my opportunity to find out wha the babies are before my real appt next week.  The heartbearts for both were 155 bpm this time so it was smart he did it this way.  Then I got to see that Baby B is a girl, yes definitely confirmed a girl but Baby A was not cooperating and kept moving so we couldn't confirm or deny although neither of us could see boy parts. 

So we definitely have a daughter, all we have to do now is wait until next Thursday. 

We had a wonderful time in Miami, and I started feeling the babies move all the time.  Kaniya loved walking on the beach but didn't like the water too much.  My lil ones are growing more and more everyday, and I am so happy we are all doing so well. 

I go see the high-risk pregnancy doctor on July 12th, and my ultrasound is on the 19th with my OB, so we will finally know what we are having.  My mom is coming down for a week to paint the babies room for me I can't wait to get it all together.  Well until the 12th, ta-ta.

I had my echo done on friday and was hoping to find out the sex of the twins but the tech only knew how to do heart scans and actually read them.  For the heck of it she looked at the babies for me just to see what we could see and we saw them both moving around and playing it was wonderful.  One is laying upside down and the other is sideways and was kicking the other one, it was so cute. 

I had my actual prenatal appt this morning and found out the babies heartbeats are at 152 and 166, I know it's been normal that one is higher than the other but this time it switched babies.  Because of my heart condition I have to see a perinatologist just in case it becomes high risk and I have to be transferred, but for now just a precaution.  My next appt is on June 19th, and that's when I will have my next ultrasound and finally find out what the babies are.
