Baby has arrived!

2008-09-10  (31 weeks)
another appointment, another doctor

I had yet another doctor today but I'm glad I did, she was wonderful.  She gave me so much information and I will definitely stick with her.

I found out that the babies heartbeats are both mid 140s, I am 1 cm dilated and measuring 44 weeks pregnant.  I will not go past 38 weeks, they dont let twins go past this point.  I also asked her about delivering vaginally.  She said as long as Baby A is head down its ok to try because they can actually reach in and turn Baby B if they are breech and equal or less in size than A.  If the baby is transverse or sideways its more riskier because it may require a c-section to get Baby B out giving me the full birth experience (vaginal and c-section) so if Baby B remains transverse as she has been from the start I am just going to get a c-section...no biggie. (probably thought I'd never say that huh)

I am so excited I've made it so far, the end is in site and I am so ready to meet these girls.

2008-09-04  (30 weeks)
This week in my twin pregnancy
I had my appointment on Wednesday, the babies are doing great, strong heartbeats, I am still not dilated, and I lost 2lbs.  I will get another ultrasound at 33 weeks and hopefully Brooklyn will be head down. I was actually feeling really good on Tuesday and Wednesday but starting today OMG!! it feels like Brooklyn's head (hopefully) or butt is going to fall right out, it hurts really bad when i walk. I just keep saying just 7 weeks to go (to 38 weeks) but really hoping they will decide to come at 36 weeks and be healthy we will see.
2008-08-27  (29 weeks)
29 week appointment

I had another ultrasound for growth on the girls today, they are:

Baby A- heartrate 121BPM 3lb. 7oz. (BREECH)

Baby B- heartrate 155BPM 3lb. 4oz. (TRANSVERSE)

They are doing good but now I know I will more than likely end up with a c-section and it won't be scheduled until I'm 38 weeks, so I have a little over 8 weeks to go (POO!!)  I am doing good still no dialation. I have officially changed doctors again this time because the one I changed to quit the practice, so I finally have a doctor until the end of this thing :) I go back and see him next week for a basic checkup.

2008-08-21  (28 weeks)
possibly only 7 weeks to go

I will be 29 weeks this week and with the doctors rule lets make it to 36 weeks, that means I may only have 7 weeks to go so excited about that, its almost done.  I picked up the babies carseats that my wonderful mother purchased yesterday, I can't wait to pull them out and look at them.  Their room is finally complete, clothes put away, all those tons of diapers almost hidden :)  I will post a picture of it soon.

I am getting a bit used to bedrest, I have no choice but to stay off my feet because if I don't I am in so much pain I'm in tears, it feels like they are going to rip right out of my lower stomach, not fun.  I have contractions off and on but at least I have medicine to control it. My newest symptom is the swelling of my feet and ankles, it feel like the skin is going to burst they get so big.

I have officially changed doctors but he had an emergency during my appointment yesterday so I had to go back to my old doctor, I found out nothing at my appointment yesterday I felt like it was a waste of time.  I have my ultrasound next week to see how big they are now, can't wait, hopefully at least 3lbs, this week their BPMs were 138 for Brooklyn and 160 for Paiyton.

Unless I get bored which is highly likely, I will be back next Wednesday with an update.
