Pregnancy Reflections

Sixth Month

  Buying maternity clothes was:
fun. I know some of you can't believe that I've actually enjoyed buying maternity clothes, but some of this stuff is cute and inexpensive - two of my favorite things when shopping.

The biggest change in my body has been:
getting shorter legs. All of the pants I have purchased are too long. And since I am supposed to be in flat shoes, my pants tend to drag the floor. I don't think a hem would look good in the maternity pants I own.

My favorite change in my body has been:
that I still look the same from the back. I'm only growing out in front and not getting wider. Yeah!!! for me!!!

What I never thought would change was:
my skin. Some areas are so dark. From new acne or the darkening of old acne spots and my surgical scars to lines in my neck, I look several shades darker.

At this month's prenatal visit I learned that:
the baby is growing at a great rate, but the mommy has gained too much weight considering that I have the last trimester left. That is supposed to be the time where I put on the most weight.

  My hopes:
is that Peanut's room will be completed soon. The furniture should be here soon. It was on backorder (it was ordered on April 24...long story about that) and there was one other couple in front of our order when I last checked.

  My fears:
became apparent when the doctor mentioned my weight gain. I fear trying to deliver a huge baby and needing a c-section. Did you see my scars in the photos? I think my belly has been cut open enough.
