Bye until next time Well I am going back to my regular blog! Pete and I found a cool new design for it and I've had a few thoughts lately that I've been wanting to blog about so since little Carly is now here I will be heading back over there for my blog fix :)
Pete and I are considering trying for our second child starting next March, that way it will have been a year since my first c-section, the recovery is brutal, I need nasal surgery for my polyps and I need to lose weight before getting pregnant again. So we'll see how everything goes but for right now that's our tentative date to start trying, since we don't know how long it will take for us to conceive again. We are hoping for the same good luck we had this time, and we are so thankful for Carly--she is the most amazing blessing ever!
I'm leaving this as a link for the pregnancy/mommy forums I belong to so that if other women want a glimpse of my experience they can have a look. Also I am going to print out all my entries to make into a keepsake for Carly (not all the entries are sunshine and roses but they are honest).
Alright thanks for reading everybody :)

Try for an Update Baby girl is sleeping (as is Daddy--that is a rarity!!) so I will try to give an update. Pete put up this mobile my sis gave us that has fish that spin around above Carly's Pack N Play. She loves to stare at it when she gets her diaper changed, I call it her Fishy Friends. She will cry out when they stop spinning around and stare at them again when we restart it. Aren't these things supposed to lull babies to sleep? LOL.
She has been sleeping now for three and a half hours, it is a miracle! Pete said she has slept well the past couple of nights, I can't believe this. I actually got a bunch of stuff done around the house the past few hours, which has been extremely hard to do lately. I think a lot of it is that she is eating more at each feeding now, almost like she is storing up to sleep longer at night. I like that idea! It's still not like we put her down at her bedtime and we all go to sleep, because it's still really hard for both of us to lay down because she could wake up in five minutes. I find it's easier to stay up then to get right back up when you are exhausted.
I can't imagine how single parents run the show with babies. Pete has been so so so helpful, he has let me rest when my mood goes to pot and when I am just plain exhausted. I try to do the same for him but it's usually daytime so he doesn't get to sleep a lot....our street is so so so loud!!!!!! The guys upstairs drive me nuts too, who ever heard of vaccuuming as a hobby??
Got to go my little one is waking up to eat :)

Got sleep? Well Carly seems to be doing very well, she loves to be held to sleep which is my fault--when I first came home from the hospital I was very hormonal and moody, and of course the recovery of the c-section was very painful. All I wanted to do was hold my baby! She is the reason I went through all of that so I just wanted to snuggle her all day long and I did :) But now she likes to be held to sleep so we are struggling with sleep issues lol.
We are trying different tricks like swaddling, using the swing, white noise etc, and a lot of it does work but another issue is that her tummy is so small, she only eats an ounce or two at a time so of course how can she sleep for very long when she is still hungry before she even fell asleep!!
She is waking up now for a feeding....I will add more later :)
