Fifteen minutes before take off So I have now fifteen minutes before Pete and I leave to go to the hospital and have our daughter. We are having a c-section at eight am, and we have to be there at six am to get all prepped. I am nervous because I put deoderant on and I'm unsure if I was supposed to lol. I'm pretty sure I have everything Carly and I will need packed, I even have a couple of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches made for Pete to eat later :)
I got two hours of sleep last night, from one am to three am, then I laid there from three to four am feeling very hungry indeed lol. Carly was aggravated that I wasn't eating and she balled up and laid completely on my left side which was not very comfortable lol. I cannot wait to meet her. I got a pic of Pete getting ready to rush out the door and drop Thunder off at his parents, with the diaper bag on his shoulder, I couldn't get over it, seeing him with the diaper bag, I will try to get some pics of us at the hospital before the surgery too. Get ready to be really bored with too many pics lol.
Of course even at this late stage, and when I felt her moving all morning, I still worry about my little girl. It must be the worst nightmare to be all ready to welcome your child into the world and then due to tragedy have no child to bring home. I was reading one woman's story and she said it really hit her a few days later at home, when her milk came in and she had no child to feed. I wouldn't have the strength to deal with a tragedy, I really really really need to bring my little girl home safely, please keep us in your thoughts because I am really nervous!
I hope we have great nurses, and I hope that I don't get too crabby when they come in and disturb me endlessly, especially the first night to check on me over and over. I will update when we come home, just know that we are so so excited, so in love with our little girl already, and will be shocked if she turns out to be a boy lol :)
Talk to you later, I expect to be home on Monday :)

Getting Ready to Organize I was just in baby central and I wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone that has helped us so much in getting ready for baby Carly. Everyone has been so so so generous, it has taken a huge financial weight off of us, we have such beautiful things to dress our baby in, wrap her up in, let her play in, sleep in, and use to feed her and take care of her.
We are so blessed and I can't wait to post pictures of our daughter enjoying everything :)
My beautiful nephew Zackery has given so many items to his little cousin, thank you so much to him and his mommy, I can't express how grateful I am, and how lucky I feel that we are in this family together and that my little daughter gets to join :)

So Excited It's almost Friday! Today we went for a non-stress test at the hospital and I really liked the nurse we had, and guess what, she's working on Friday :) That makes me so happy. Everyone we have mentioned our daughter's name to has really liked it, and it is pretty if I do say so myself. We have a few "ly" girls, Emily, Holly, and Charlie (three of my nieces) even though it's spelled "ie". Then Carly will be here too :)
At night I wake up hurting now, she's so big in my tummy that gravity does funny things and whatever side I lay on she ends up sticking way way out and it wakes me up lol. Then it's time to eat at that point lol. Today at the hospital the nurse asked if I ate breakfast and she laughed when I said "Oh yeah!!"
Easter weekend was awesome! On Friday night I enjoyed a nice visit and a huge dinner (turkey, ham and all the fixings!) with my out of town sis and her hubby and son and everyone, and then on Sunday morning we enjoyed a delicious brunch at my parents house with everyone. My littlest nephew was so so cute on a new tricycle that he got for Easter from his Aunty Cheryl, he took to it right away! It is so wonderful that little Carly is going to be so close in age to her cousin Zackery, for three months a year they are going to be the same age! :)
Carly's Aunty Cheryl got her tons of diapers and tons of wipes for Easter, plus a pretty outfit set that included a dress and even skorts, plus a hat etc. Grandma and Grandpa got her a "pre-first Easter" bunny that is green and so so cute, plus a spring onesie :) I can't wait to dress her in all her beautiful clothes :)
My blood sugars have been good, my blood pressure has been good, the only thing is the swelling in my feet and my sore knees etc. Ouch! I am so excited that Friday is almost here, still more to do in the apartment, and it's been too cold to install the car seat (-33 this morning!) but we will get everything done. She did really well on her test this morning :)
That's all for now, of course I rambled a lot but really the point of this post is to 1) say thank you so much to my family for feeding me such delicious food this weekend and for the wonderful company, and the spoiling of my little daughter before she even gets here and 2) let you know I am EXCITED for Friday :)

Next weeks schedule The next few days are so full before the planned arrival of our daughter Carly:
Monday: Non Stress Test at the hospital in the morning.
Tuesday: An ultrasound at the hospital in the morning to see what position she is in (I still think she is sideways).
Wednesday: An appointment at the specialists' office who is doing the c-section (am appointment).
Thursday: Non Stress Test at the hospital in the morning.
Friday: Scheduled c-section at 8:00 am, arrival at 6:00 am.
The week is going to fly by!! We organized our bedroom last night, and now the bassinet is in there :) I still want to pick up the bolts for the crib and have that assembled and in our room too before she gets here. She might sleep better in her crib than the bassinet so I'd like to have it available but it's not absolutely necessary since she' s lucky and has her bassinet from her cousin Zackery.
There is still tons to organize in baby central, this Tuesday I want to pick up a bunch of storage type bins etc. to seperate all her great stuff. For example I want all her hats in one place etc. lol. I have to organize our dresser so that she can have two drawers and we have two drawers in it, we will get her her own dresser when we can of course.
I had such a stressful doctor's appointment this past week, at my regular doctor's, he said something so insensitive I couldn't believe it. Something that had me questioning the safety of my daughter due to my high blood pressure and gestational diabetes and I did not appreciate it! I told him if she's in danger then he should admit me to the hospital! He said that's not necessary, I wish he would have kept his mouth shut in the first place, this is the last week of my first pregnancy and I didn't need that extra doubt in my mind on top of normal nerves. He better hope the outcome of this pregnancy is a wonderful healthy bouncy baby girl, otherwise I'll throw him off a bridge myself.
Tonight I am going to my sis' for Easter dinner, we have family coming in from out of town so it will be nice to see everyone. The only thing is that I really have a hard time wearing socks due to swelling in my feet, so that will be very uncomfortable. I would like to get Carly's car seat installed this weekend too! Plus I would like to go out for lunch with my good friend Sara one more time before the arrival of my daughter.
We'll see how next week goes I will try to keep updated. My tummy gets nervous when I think about how close we are, but I can't wait to hold her and make sure she's real, and healthy :)
