My First Entry
How I found out...
I suspected that I was pregnant for about two weeks. I was tossing and turning all night and constantly had to pee. My last period was on November 19, 2007. I took the first home pregnancy test on December 7th, 2007 and of course, it came back negative. It was WAY to early to take a test but I just knew I was pregnant and was so anxious. Over the next 2 weeks I took a total of 3 tests. All 3 tests came back negative but according to the test you cannot take it until the first day of your missed period which would mean I couldn't take a test until December 17th, 2007. I did not get my period on December 17th but I had period like cramps so I figured I may be getting a late period. On December 18th, 2007 I decided to buy one last test and it came back that I am pregnant...again! I told my husband Justin by wrapping the test in Christmas paper (since it was a week before Christmas). I was debating on if I should wait until Christmas day or tell him now and of course I couldn't wait and gave the test to him as a "gift". This will be our third baby and we were absolutely thrilled to hear the news!
My pregnancy to date...
On Thursday January 10, 2008 I started bleeding. I immediately went to the hospital where they did some blood work and an ultrasound. My HCG level was 2002. The baby measured 6.5 weeks but I was actually 7.3 weeks, which is only 4 days off so that is really no cause for concern and I seen my babys heartbeat. I was sent home on bed rest and the doctor told me that it was still a viable pregnancy.
On Friday January 11, 2008 I went to my obgyn where they did a pelvic exam, another ultrasound (I seen the babys heartbeat again), and some more blood work. The doctor told me to come back on Monday the 14th.
Today is Saturday January 12, 2008 and I am still bleeding. I am so anxious to know if my baby is okay and if I am okay. I should find out much more on Monday. This weekend is going to feel like the longest weekend of my life.
