Baby has arrived!

2008-01-03  (17 weeks)
I went bye bye for a little while.
I went bye bye for a while, I think it was about 13 weeks since I last updated! I just went through the gestational diabetes check (I'm fine) and I've just been taking it easy. In fact except for my hunger (I like eating 'little stuff' a lot but nothing big, I've figured it out.) and some dizziness because of the second trimester I haven't felt very pregnant anymore. I've been doing more things around the house and working on my websites. I've gained a tiny belly but nothing really big yet.

I do have to update though because for the first time yesterday I FELT IT MOVE! It was strange at first, and it made me feel...kinda weird. I told my husband about it and he said I was probably feeling the baby now. I went online to check it out because I wanted to make sure I wasn't feeling contractions or anything either.

From what it sounds like though I don't think it was contractions. It's not really crampy for several minutes and the 'wave of weirdness' only lasted like a second or two. Then it settled down and I ate and it started again! So now, I've been getting it every once in awhile!

So yeah, NOW I do feel pregnant

Preggo. Homemade taste. It's in there!

Finally updating
So far, everything's gone really well, I just haven't been feeling my best for updating. As for my visits, those are getting really scary. It took an hour to draw blood on me the first time, and because they got an unsatisfactory answer on my diabetes test, I now have to get it drawn again! At least 2-3 times in three hours! Still, it's better to make sure I'm okay.
Other than that, the ultrasound showed that everything is fine. Still, visits are so scary. I never know what they are going to say. Still, it is nice to be able to know how everything's going and how the baby is doing. I did finally hear it's heartbeat too. It's a fast little heart, sounds like the galloping hooves of horses!

As for my appetite? I have one, sort of. I never got what anyone would call a ravenous appetite. I still actually don't have my regular appetite. I'll eat 1/2 a serving of whatever we have while my husband eats 2 servings. (What I used to eat too.) Still, at least I am eating a lot better now. It makes me feel good. Even if I don't eat so much of what I need, at least I'm eating what I know I need.

That and I have prenatal vitamins with extra iron, folic, vitamins and such. That really should be helping out as well.

My water intake now though has had to increase by a ton. Mostly because a. I always feel dehydrated and b. Dehydration was the reason I had such a bad time with drawing blood the first time!

Now it's about...84 oz. of water a day, but whatever it takes to stay hydrated, I'll do it.

Finally going to see the doctor!
FINALLY going to see the doctor tomorrow. Finally, it feels like forever. I have a ton of questions I want to ask him. Like is my pregnancy good and can I exercise? Or if I can safely take Tyenol. Or why my appetite is always nil. So many questions, and I really hope I get to hear the baby's heartbeat.

Depending on what the doctor says too might change the day the baby is expected. Who knows? Anything could happen. I just think it's great I can finally see an expert who knows a lot more than I do.

I'm so excited I need to cheer! *\(^0^)/* Yeah!

Calling all helpers...
I WISH so bad that I could just see a doctor. Not until November 15th though.:( My food aversion is so sky high it's not even funny! My appetite is about a 1/4 of what it used to be before I got pregnant.

My husband always asks me what I want to eat. I always tell him now whatever he wants to fix. I just eat so little our food is so wasted and I feel so low. Even last night, my husband asked me and I actually had a small craving for Pizza. He MADE me a pizza! And I ate two bites and felt like if I ate anymore I wouldn't keep anything down.:( I didn't attempt to eat again until 10:30 at night. I ate a slice. Finally. Then, around 5:00 A.M. my belly went from nauseous to hungry. I didn't miss the opportunity to be able to eat something. I got up and ate half a slice of pizza before the 'no more' set back in.

Tomato, crackers (for nausea) and a slice and a half of pizza within 24 hours. Not the best.:( I know sometimes it's typical for some women, but I just WANT it to end! I want to be able to eat right for the baby! If the food is what my body NEEDS, then why is it making me avoid it?

It sucks. Hopefully today will be better. I think I'm going to cut up a potato, a cucumber, an apple, an orange and a tomato on a big plate. Then come back and eat a couple pieces whenever I can. Maybe that will at least help a bit...
