Wow...what a journal. I just spent the last 45 minutes straight reading your journal...can't stop! My students are about to come in my room in about 5 minutes, and I don't have a single lesson planned for today! It was like I was reading a really good mystery and couldn't put it down! They're GT kids anyway...they can teach themselves!
Very interesting tidbits I didn't know about pregnancy. The hair and moles...little more information than I needed to know!
I just wish we didn't live over an hour away from each other so I could help more often!
Good decision about dropping the breast feeding class especially if you have to pay for it . The woman was right about toughening up your nipple. I wish I would of been giving that advise with my daughter. I think breast feeding is one of the hardest things I have done in my life. Just remember the first month is the toughest. If you can make it past the first month, its all done hill. Make sure you feed from both side. For some reason 1 side will be easier and you will have a tendency to feed from that side. But the last thing you want to happen is a blocked milk duct. Horrible, horrible infection in your breast, best way to get rid of the infection is to feed from the infected breast. Think of the worst pain you've even been in and multiple it by 10. After you feeed message your breast like a breast exam, will help not getting to blocked duct. Well any don't want to bore you any more with my breast feeding experience. I breast feed my daughter till she was 2 1/2, she had horrible allergies and the dr told me the longer I breast feed her the better chance her allergies would go away. She is 4 now and doesnt have any allergies, she was allegic to everything. Keep in touch if you like, I have started my journal a few days ago.
Take care

Hello! I am 27 weeks pregnant with my second child. I was into such a deep sleep last night when I was suddenly woke up by this horrible pain in my right calf. My calf muscle was as hard as a rock, and my toes were all gnarled. I was rolling around in the bed clutching my leg and my crazy antics woke my husband. Of course, I wasn't saying anything, just moaning in pain, and he really started to panic. When I finally could tell him what was wrong, he rubbed my leg for me. I had to make him stop, though because it hurt so bad. Now my leg is really sore today. I never had leg cramps with my first child who is 23 months old.
And also, what is with people commenting on how big I am?? I am a small framed person, but my stomach is huge. Some people feel the need to tell me that. They also will tell me that they don't think I will make it to my due date which is May 13th. I take that as them saying I am as big as a house!!!

I am now 42. My son is 19 and my daughter is 15. Years ago, when they were 8 &4, I had a terrible addiction to drugs. I left for a year. I came back, got myself straight, through AVEDA and started over again. My son choose to stay with his father, and my daughter came back to me. What I have learned from this is: Cherish the time you have with them when they are little. Document everything. Take lots of pictures. Tell them you love them everyday. The years start to click by, and then they are not little anymore. Have no regrets. When I look back, and sometimes felt I didn't have a life because I was so young, and felt the children held me back. Ugggg, I wish I could start over. I loved them alot. I still do. Praise them always on good accomplishments. Never scold them in front of people. Each day, when my daughter left for school, I told her "Have an awesome day, and be an excellant student... Nothing less then YOUR best"... and you know why? She would reply "Because I am worth it". Being in the 9th grade, she has been a straight A student since 5 grade, and is now in 9th. Today I am headed to the Honor Roll Breakfast at her school. I am so very proud. Even my mother has told me she wishes that she could change the way she raised us, but knowing we do the best that we can, at every opportunity, is the best we can do. Love, love, love, thats what its all about. God Bless you and your little miracle. As for your mother, prayer works, across the miles and right next to her. Keep a positive attitude. Thank you for letting me sign your book. I came on the internet looking for clues about what causes Charlie Horses, and I ran across your journal. Best of luck. Also, I had an ear infection, both ears, while pregnant with my daughter. One day while at work.. pop pop and they cleared up. I was sick for 2 months straight. All we could take back in 1990-1991 was Sudafed. It helped somewhat. All the best, Naomi
Charlie Horses can be caused for a number of reasons, but one of the best things for them is increased water intake. This is to help promote more water movement through the muscles, and therefore staves off those nasty charlie horses.
