Quickening!!!
I am excited to announce that yesterday I felt an undeniable baby kick. I felt one at work that caught me by surprise and I had to ask myself..."was that what I think it was?". Then later that day while I was driving home I felt another one that was even stronger and bigger. Last night Waylon and I took a tour of St. John's labor and delivery department. They remodeled about a year ago and it looks wonderful. The RN that lead the tour was super smart and had super smart answers to all of my questions. St. John allows that initial nursing assessment to be done in the room (after the first breastfeeding attempt). You can also sign to have the baby room in with you. They have labor tub but you can't give birth in it..which sucks because I really wanted to do that. I might just get in and then refuse to get out :) You labor, deliver, and recover in the same room which I like. I feel pretty good about our choice (or rather Blue Cross Blue Sheilds choice). |
