Fluttering kick Just now while lying in bed, I felt a flutter in my abdomen and was not sure if it was baby kicking. Then it came again, this time a little to the centre. I asked Rajan to feel it, and he felt a slight thump too. So we thought these could really be baby's first kicks. hahah... I think baby is probably doing some morning aerobics inside... =)

Last week, I went to see the gynae (Dr. M Tan) coz I was having pain in my lower abdomen and was worried about it. So Rajan brought me to the doctor, but she said it's fine, maybe coz the uterus is expanding as baby is growing hence the pain. But the pain got better the next day, so all's good again. It's like an on-off kind of pain. Oh well...
Yesterday (6th May) I went for my 16 weeks check-up, and we could see that baby has grown so much bigger already. We could see baby so clearly, the whole spine, the ribs, the fingers and legs.... but baby was in a cross-legged sitting position so the doctor said it's hard to tell the gender. She tried to make baby move, change position, but baby just refused. Hahaha.. then she showed us baby's hands and fingers and guess wat... baby was giving us the thumbs up. It was such a cute sight! My next check-up is in 4 weeks' time and I'll be having a detailed scan, which means we might be able to see if baby's a boy or a girl. So many people said that I'll be having a baby boy.... well, let's see... hee... :)

Beginning of 2nd Trimester =) This week will be the start of my second trimester. At 14 weeks, I'm feeling better. No more morning sickness, but still can't eat till very full if not my stomach will feel funny, like I'm going to puke again. I get 9 hours of sleep every day and I don't feel as tired during the day as in the 1st trimester. A little mood swings yes.... sometimes I'm laughing like crazy and the next moment I can get grouchy. Hahaha... but it's fun. and everyone is excited to know baby's gender. Hopefully, we would be able to know by the next appointment in May. Still haven't bought any baby stuff yet... looking for nice onesies but so hard to find. My gf said she'll get some from States.. Baby Gap, Old Navy... they have pretty good stuff. :) Oh, one last thing, my tummy is showing already. Hahaha can't hide it anymore, but no need for maternity clothes yet. My mum got me some nice baby doll dresses which are good enough.

More babies! Yesterday, we discovered a nest full of chicken eggs in our backyard. Our neighbour's hens must have flew over and laid the eggs there. I counted.. 11 small white eggs. And the mother hen wasn't brooding her eggs. She keeps disappearing and if this goes on, i don't think the eggs will ever hatch. So Rajan took 2 eggs out and made an incubator out of a shoebox. So now we have more than 1 baby to look after! I just hope we can see the chicks hatching out of the eggs!
