Shopping dizziness 10 weeks more! Baby's arriving soon.. feels like just yesterday that I found out I was pregnant though. Anyway, yesterday I was at Ikea for about 5 hrs buying furniture for baby's room and some household stuff. I got so much stuff that I had to sent everything for delivery. My mum called and said they'll buy us the baby cot and mattress... so sweet! We're also gonna start compiling a wish list so when friends and family wanna get us gifts, the presents won't be repeated or wasted. More practical this way.... hee... I told Rajan I wanna have a party before I give birth coz after that, I'm gonna be so busy busy busy. A party to celebrate anything! hahah he said ok... =) Baby's been very active. Sometimes, the movement that I feel is like regular heart beats or maybe even hiccups. Yes, I read that baby can have hiccups already while inside the womb. How cute! When they swallow too much amniotic fluid while practising their breathing, they'll get hiccups. I've put on about 8 kg and still growing. It seems like my tummy and all have grown bigger this week. No stretchmarks please.. I've been moisturising so much everyday. I've also got the same rash that I had in my first trimester... the doctor said it's pregnancy-related eczema and it's really itchy at night! I hope it goes away soon.. Almost fainted today, felt nauseous and like I can't sit or stand properly.. just need to lie down.. Rajan said it could be dizzy spells and asked me to go sleep for a while. After sleeping for 4 hrs, I felt better already. =)

7th month checkup-1/8
Yesterday we went for my monthly checkup. As usual, we always have to wait for about 1-2 hrs before it's our turn. What's the point of having an appointment we wonder..... Anyway my gynae said that baby is doing well. She's 1.3kg now... almost double her weight from last month (660g) and she's already in the head-down position which is good. Doctor said after 7 months, this position is rather fixed and baby won't be changing her position already, esp for the first pregnancy. I just hope everything goes smoothly and baby comes out in the blink of an eye on the due date. No long labour please..... I've put on about 8kg, 7.6kg to be exact. Rajan asked the gynae if this is ok coz it's like my tummy is not as big compared to other people, and she said it's good coz will be easier for me to deliver. Phew! hahahha... l like how my gynae always puts u at ease and she makes everything so nice & rosy. I'm not using epidural, gonna do it au naturale. If my grandma and mum can do it, so can I.. =) It's all in the mind.........

Nocturnal baby
The past few days, I tried to keep track of baby's movements for the whole day. Seems like she's more active at night from about 10pm to about 4am. hahah... Sometimes her movements are so strong and frequent, it feels ticklish and we just wonder what she's doing inside. Private party for 1 maybe... dancing all night long! hahaha... It's amazing. Now that she's getting bigger, I can feel her move even more, like her legs are at the side and her head is is at the top of my tummy. I can feel kicks, turns, squirming actions, maybe some stretches and thumping like heartbeats or hiccups. Such a variety... who knows she could be a budding gymnast or dancer!

28 weeks.. wat's happening to Baby?
Your baby’s brain is really beginning to develop into a more complex organ. Up until this point, your baby’s brain has been relatively smooth, but beginning this week his/her brain will develop grooves and indentions along its surface. The amount of brain tissue also begins to increase during the 28th week.
The development of hair also continues. Eyebrows and eyelashes are visible, while the hair on your baby’s head grows even longer. Your baby is also starting to look a little rounder as the fat storage under the skin continues to develop. This is an important part of development that will continue through the remainder of your pregnancy.* (American Pregnancy Association)
