Baby has arrived!

2008-09-16  (35 weeks)
Weekly checkup
We went for my checkup yesterday and my gynae did a culture test for me. Funny thing was I lost weight (500g) but baby gained about 900g. From 1.88kg two weeks ago to 2.7kg today, it's amazing and nice to know how much she has grown. At first, we were worried that she's too small but now we're very happy to know that she's striving in her own tiny way inside. Yeah baby!!! =) I had diarrhea last thursday till sunday, maybe that explains the weight loss. I'm good now. Baby's been very active and her movements are so strong and sharp. My gynae said that it is very good that she's so active. haha! Baby especially likes dancing and twirling in the early morning, 2-5am. So I can't sleep well coz her movements are really strong, you can't ignore them and just sleep it through. Also, her head is pressing on my bladder, I saw from the ultrasound yesterday, so I go to the bathroom very frequently, once every 2 hrs, sometimes even faster. Anyway, we're just happy that baby is doing well and we're really excited to meet her on the 18th of October. I hope she'll be punctual. =) We love you baby!

False alarm! phew.....
Yesterday, I went to the hospital at about 8.30pm. I was sleeping and then woke up at 5 plus, 6 pm, went to the bathroom, and there's like quite alot of water mark. So I called the labour ward and the nurse said if I'm not sure if the liquid is from the waterbag or just urine, then better to make a trip down. The nurses were nice. They put me in the labour ward with 2 other women, one having contractions, one 6 mths pregnant, then they attached this equipment to my tummy. That is for recording baby's heartbeat and movements. No more leaking already and baby's hearbeat is normal, but they still had to inform my gynae and she came down to check. So she came, put her fingers in and said that my cervix is not dilated yet, meaning not time for baby to arrive yet. She said it could be just urine coz baby's getting bigger and pressing on my bladder and sometimes when u're sleeping and u turn from side to side, the urine may just leak out unknowingly. I was hoping and praying that it's just a false alarm coz baby's still tiny (33 weeks+2) and daddy's not in town. How can????? Luckily, all's good and dr said, "ok can go home ady!" Happy like a bird.... =)

Dancing Queen
Baby has been moving so much for the past 2 weeks, and her movements are no longer slight and gentle. They're getting more frequent and stronger, it's as if she's doing breakdance inside. I video-cam her while she's "dancing" and you can really see my tummy move! hahah it's funny and amazing... we're so excited and can't wait for baby to arrive. So excited to see how she'll look, who she'll resemble,.... as long as she comes out smoothly and fast, that'll be the best. I don't want a long labour... scary.... Rajan's gone to LA, and when he's back, we'll get all the baby things done. Whatever needs to be bought, whatever we're still missing, final name choice, the nursery, my emergency bag,.... everything will be ready by mid-sept. Ohoh, baby can respond when you speak to her, esp when her daddy talks to her, she really responds man, by kicking. So cute, daddy's little princess. =)

Stretchmarks begone!
I saw some red  marks on the bottom of my tummy and they look like veins and feel a little painful. So when I went for my checkup yesterday, I asked my gynae and she said they're stretchmarks. Arrggghhh!!! I think the clarins stretchmark cream is not powerful enough, so I'm gonna get a better one. Anyways, she said my weight gain for the last 3 weeks is quite little, 0.3kg, so I have to increase my food intake. All that weight has gone to baby though coz she's 1.6kg now (last check 3 weeks ago, she was 1.3kg). Still within the normal weight range, so all's good. Hee... we just cleared up one of the rooms to make space for a little nursery. We feel excited everytime we walk past the baby's room. Can't wait for baby's arrival.... 2 more months! WOOHOO!
