Alright, I am now 36 weeks along, the BIG 9 monther, and just had the 8th OBappointment on Wednesday. The doctor told me I'm measuring right on track and I seem to be healthy. She said the baby is still head down and seems to be healthy, too. She figured the baby, around this time, averages 4-5 lbs. and the books say around 5-6 lbs.
The baby moved alot when she was trying to find the heartbeat, which is entertaining. When she finally got a good read, it was 154!! Thats the highest its ever been, but not to worry. Apparantly these heartbeats can range from a healthy 120-160. Anyway, I also had an exam and will probably have one every time until the baby is born. she said I am dialated to a ONE, which doesn't mean anything, really. Also, my cervix is softened 50%. These are all signs my body is getting ready, but by no means does it mean the baby will come early. Though, I am ten times more anxious after this last appointment.
Oh yeah, she was also concerned about my loss in weight since last week...HA! Doctors, makes me smile. She asked if I had been eating all my meals and I politely described to her what my latest meal consisted of - A BIG SYPHONY CHOCOLATE BAR - Yummy!!
Well, we are moving right along on the crib and have added more photos for everyone to look at. Take a peak and talk to you next week!

February 4th Seventh OB Appoinment
I am kind of bummed after this appointment. My doctor sorta called me fat. What she said was, "You are going to be very unhappy", when describing how I would feel if I keep gaining wait like I have. For starters, I really don't think I've gained too much wait, but I understand her point and will watch what I eat. She also needs to understand that my weight fluctuates from week to week, even day to day. Oh, well!!
On to the baby stuff...the doctor said if I go in to labor this week, they will try and stop it, since I am 34 weeks. She said next week, if you go into labor, we are gonna let 'er fly...HOLY CRAP, really?! Wow, I wasn't expecting that. Crazy, I could have this baby anytime after next week when I hit the "safe" period. The baby's heart beat was in the 150s, she wasn't able to get a solid read. Everything looks healthy and is measuring appropriately, so that's great!!
Anxiously waiting your arrival, little baby!!

January 10th, Sixth OB appointment
We had our sixth OB appointment on the 10th of January and it went really well. The baby's heartbeat was 147, which has been consistant throughout the pregnancy so far. Zach had been pluggin' away at the crib. It looks great so far, there is still a lot of sanding left to do, but I think we'll geet it done before Chapstick arrives. Last night, we organized the nursery so it looks more like a bedromm instead of a storage room. We are also really excited to get our carseat soon - We found out the one we originally order was on backorder and probably not coming before the carseat installment class. So the compant e-mailed us and offered a more expensive carseat for the same price and we accepted - should be at our doorstep next week.
Everything else is going really well. Today is Zach's first day of work at ASV in Grand Rapids as a Project Engineer. ASV is a company that makes skiddster-type machines that cause little damage to the ground when operating. They have really neat tracks and you can get all kinds of attachments fro the vehicle. Really cool!! We are so pround of him!!
