Mmmmm! Over the weekend, I got my first craving. It was nothing like I thought it would be. I actually felt like my life could not move forward until I got celery with cream cheese. And of course, I didn't crave it at a convenient time like while I was grocery shopping. I was actually in the shower getting ready to go to Home Depot with Rob when it came over me. I got out of the shower and made him go to the store to get it for me while I dried my hair. I ate about half the stalk of celery before I felt satisfied to the point of being able to leave the house. By the end of the day it was gone. I had to go get more on Sunday. That one lasted until Tuesday. Today I had to send him back to get more, I had him get two in hopes it would last me until the weekend. I think the baby will have to be a celery stalk for it's first Halloween!

"Lack There Of" Today I finally feel like the old Sara is coming back. Within about a week or two of finding out I was pregnant, extreme fatigue set in. I was so tired, most days I would sleep in my car on my lunch only to come home, have dinner and be zonked on the couch by 7:30. Usually then Rob would nudge me and tell me to just go lay down. I was sleeping so much I felt like I wasn't doing anything else. Then about two weeks ago, I started staying up a little later, like until about 9 or so. But yesterday I really turned a corner. I felt like I had energy to DO something. Like; pick up after myself, do some laundry, the dishes... All of which Rob had been doing for me all along, and pretty willingly I must say. He has been amazing with my "hormones", I am sure he is eager to meet the baby so it all pays off!
In addition to having this new found energy, I have gone back to functioning properly. After 13 days with out a bowel movement, I have had 3 in the last 4 days so I am much more comfortable too!
Oh the Joys of Pregnancy:)

11 Weeks, 6 Days
Last Thursday Rob and I went for our 2nd prenatal visit. He came with me again this time because this would be the first time we would be able to hear our babies heartbeat with the doppler. I got a little nervous right before the doctor started looking for it because he prepared me that we might not be able to hear it and would have to then try watching for it on an ultrasound. But sure enough as soon as he put the doppler to my belly we could hear it loud and clear!
I've always hear people say you will get to know your OB/GYN well when you are pregnant because you see him/her every month and then everyweek at the end... well it looks like I will be getting to know mine extra-well... I called my Primary Care Physician today because I sensed a sinus infection coming on and they said they will not see me again until after I have the baby. My poor OB/GYN will have to deal with my seasonal allergies, and any other random things that may arise over the months to come.
My next appointment is on April 10th. I think Rob will sit this one out since it won't be anything too exciting. However in May is my 20 week ultrasound which will be the gender determinator... I can't wait!!!

9 Weeks, 3 days
Shockingly to me, I am apparently behind on starting a pregnancy journal for all of the world to read about my personal experience with the ups and downs of pregnancy. At a mere 9 weeks, 3 days I already have friends, or a friend (Kari this is for you) offering to set one up for me!
We found out we were pregnant on Friday, January 18th. I found out in the morning of course with a positive home pregnancy test. It was the longest 10 hours of my life waiting until Rob got home from work to tell him in person! He was shocked, but very excited.
The following Monday, I called to schedule my first prenatal visit. We were scheduled to go on Valentines Day. By the time my appointment came, I was 7 weeks, 1 day so we were able to see the heartbeat on the ultrasound! (See photo album) Dr. Banooni also confirmed my EDD of October 1, 2008. Looks like we'll have a little one by our first anniversary on October 6th.
