Unfortunately, due to the flooding in the state, our plans for Father's Day got a bit derailed. Originally, we were going to Clinton to spend Father's Day with Grandpa. We are unable to do that now because of all of the closed roads.
So, Daddy got his presents at home this morning: a new pair of tennis shoes, a new pair of leather sandals, and a monogrammed tie tack. Gr. Aunt Bonnie & Gr. Uncle Phil sent Daddy a Father's Day gift, that's really for Emerald. So Emerald now has her car seat!

Baby Classes
Because of the flooding in Cedar Rapids, our baby classes were cancelled. Unfortunately, they won't be rescheduled, so the next time they offer the classes are mid-July. It may be a little late to take them at that time. We had signed up for Baby Basics and Labor & Birth.
I hope that my next OB appointment (Friday) is not cancelled because of the flooding and its complications.

Dr. McCarron My appointment with Dr. McCarron went really well. He's a very nice doctor, so I'm very pleased with Dr. Getta's recoommendation. Emerald's heartbeat is 140, so still perfect. My tummy is 32" at 32 weeks - perfect. My blood pressure is 102 over 62, so still good. However, I do have a bladder infection (even though I didn't have any symptoms), so I'm on antibiotics for the next 5 days. Ugh!

St. Luke's Tour
The tour through St. Luke's birthing center went really well last night. I had seen the birthing suites before when Stacie had Brooklyn, but Dan never had. He was so impressed with everything and the nurse answered all of our questions. We saw the NICU (which we hope that's the only time we have to see it), the birthing suite set up for labor & delivery, & the birthing suite set up for after the baby's here. We got a schedule of the classes, so we're going to take "Baby Basics" and "Labor & Delivery."
Today is my first appointment with Dr. McCarron, so will add an update tonight sometime.
I've been working on Emerald's room this week. This afternoon I'll be taping everything so Dan can paint on Sunday.
