Hi, Mandy!

Those Braxton-Hix are funny.  My clients were so awesome, they would always made sure I wasn't straining / pain during class.  In the last months I often found myself teaching class sitting down.  (Especially towards the end) I will never forget my last day @ work, I just wanted to get home and pass out! Needless to say that weekend I tried to take it easy the days leading up to my c-section, but despite having everything ready, I still felt that we were forgetting something... My best advice is stock up on diapers and WIPES!  Make sure you have registered for plenty of towels, because for the first couple of weeks you will be doing "sponge baths"  ( at least until his umbilical cord dries up and falls off)  For pain...TYLENOL!!!!  Don't forget to elevate your feet when possible. :)

Hi, Mandy!
I just got your message about preggie pics and I think it is a great idea.  I took a couple of different outfits that I had at home and then I went to JCPenny and bought the black tie top and the funky pants (neither were maternity) and then I took them back.  I know, that isn't really the right thing to do, but I only wore them for about 20 minutes and I knew I would never wear them again.  The white cloth was available for me to use at the studio.  I took a strapless bra and then she tucked the cloth all around me.  The only thing that I would have changed would have been to wait at least a few more weeks.  I was 30 weeks along and my belly really wasn't showing all that much.  I was just afraid I'd start bloating a lot or I'd get stretch marks, but I think that 34 weeks might have been better.  I love your safari theme (that is what ours is too, but not the same one).  Thanks for the message.  Tanya

Hey Mandy!  I'm hoping to go to my mom's photography studio sometime this week so that she can scan and email them to me.  If she does, I will definitely post them on the site.

Hope things have been going well with your pregnancy.  I see that you are due a day before me, so here's to good luck that we actually deliver on time.

Take care!

We love you guys and those mood swings are so normal, I used to tell Paul that I was going to leave him and then start crying because I didn't want him too leave ME!  Paul is joker and so was my co-worker, so at work I felt like crying because she took EVERything so lightly and then when I got home Paul would act silly.  I couldn't even begin to tell you how many times I would just walk in the door straight to a HOT SHOWER AND CRY!  My thing the last three months was EXTREME TAIL BONe Pain.   This last doc explained to me that my baby's head was causing the pain and the only relief was to deliver.  So I would carry a pillow w/ me everywhere especially those long meetings.  Every time I sat down/stood up too long it hurt to stand up (if sitting) or sit down (if standing) Pillows are a Pregers Best Friend!!!!  I definitly recommend investing in one of those C-Shaped pillows for comfort while sleeping.  W/ Triniti I had to sleep sitting up (that was because my o.b. stunk and I had bad acid reflux) W/ Israel I had a good o.b. who caught my acid reflux in the 2nd trimester so I was able to sleep on my sides until the day I gave birth.

wOW! mANDY! I can't believe how insensitive that heffer was especially since she  was in the same "boat" not too long ago.  That really sucks.  I guess that's why the Bible tells us to stay clear of people who are quick to get angry.  I am so grateful that you and Jared have been gentle w/ us with all the planning we've made over the years and how some never pan out. I'm so sorry that you had to experience that by someone who calls themselves a "friend".  You guys are so blessed to have nip that one in the bud, because you guys have too much going on to deal w/ double sided "TAPE!"

Wow I cant believe how your "friend" acted towards you. You are far better off without people like that in your life. yes you did make plans with them, but plans change especially when you are pregnant. What did she expect you to go and be unhappy and uncomfortable all night just for them. Totally unreasonable. Hope that you dont still feel bad over it, you should not give it another thought. All the best of luck for the rest of your pregnancy

Mandy- Hey I was just reading over your journal (I'm due May 25th) and I can totally relate to the hip pain at night.  I've been doing "hip flexers" which really seem to help.  It's where you stand in a leg lunge position and tilt your hip upwards (as if you were a guy trying to pee in a bucket really far away - that's how my aerobics instructor used to explain it to us).  Maybe it will also work for you.  Hope you and your baby are doing just fine.  Take care!
