OMG! You're in my head. I am the exact same way. I'm planning on doing an unmedicated birth as well, but I've been told by everyone "opt for the epidural...get drugs...etc!" I'm like you in that I want the "full" experience and I want to remember every detail possible.
And, so likewise, I've become equally obsessive in trying to read up on everything I can. My mother had unmedicated births with both my brother and I. And, I have to say she is the world's biggest wimp and she did just fine. So, I know we'll do fine too!
Just out of curiousity, the one thing I can't seem to get enough info on is an episiotomy. I don't know if it is good or not good. What do you think?
Thank you so much for that! Oh you are making such sence i really ought to print your opinion & go wipe it under the doc's nose. I havn't actually thought about it, but now that you've mentioned it, he does hiccup quite often just after i ate something with a really strong sweet / spicy tecture.
I sent you an email about my experience going natural. Let me know if you don't get it and I'll just post it here. Good luck with the remainder of your pregnancy!

It's me again! And, I too have definitely experienced the BH contractions. However, mine aren't quite as frequent. I usually feel them about once every other day (very menstraul like cramps now). They used to feel like a pulling sensation, but now it's more of the cramps that I would anticipate contractions to feel like (of course, a LOT less painful though).
I've also been having a lot of round ligament pains, where I don't even want to move b/c it hurts so bad, but they've started getting a little better. Anyway, I hope this helps. Or at least it is good to know that we're in the same boat. I can't wait to have this little baby, although I know he needs to stay in the incubator just a while longer.
You're right that if the contractions aren't regular, or increasing in pain & frequency, that they are Braxton Hicks. Drinking more water can help reduce them. I was told to drink at LEAST 80 oz a day! It helps with swelling too, which I have a lot of. ((hugs)) Be calm - you're body is getting ready to bring baby into this world. Congrats!!

The girls loved the baby showing his booty. Sorry to hear the class was boring. See you Thursday.
First let me say congrats to you on your pregnancy! This is my first also and I was just browsing through these journals to see if I could find some other women to talk to.
I also wanted to say I totally know what your talking about with your doctor. I actually switched doctors because my previous doctor was under investigation for some deaths!! So you're definately not the only who has had problems with docotrs. It's like your not a person, just another number.
So feel free to stop by my journal anytime, and I would love to here from you!
