Well, I'm almost to the halfway mark now and feeling pretty good.  My energy levels have picked up slightly (although that may just be because I've been napping more). 

I've had some family in town this week and spent a few nights up pretty late.  What's funny is that I've noticed the baby kicking at about 11:30 or later every night.  (Even now - it's 1:00 in the morning and I feel him kicking as I'm typing this.)  Normally I'm in bed by about 10:00 or 10:30, so of course I've never noticed this "pattern" before.  It makes me wonder if we're gonna have a night owl on our hands...highly likely since Jared and I were always ones to stay up late.  I really hope that the baby doesn't wake me up during the night once his kicking gets stronger.

We've also been discussing baby names more, now that we know it's a boy.  We still haven't found anything that feels "just right."  I guess the only thing to do is keep chugging away and pouring through baby name books until something seems to fit.

I am now 18 weeks along.  We've been doing a lot of running around lately, finishing up our Christmas shopping.  I generally love this time of year, but I'll be glad to be done with all the hustle-and-bustle.

I haven't felt the baby move a whole lot in the last few days.  I was beginning to think he was mad at me after the sonogram last Tuesday.  I have felt him a few times, but I'm anxious for more.  Twice, after some serious shopping (and lots of walking around), I've felt him pushing on my stomach from the inside, like he's stretching or something.  It felt weird, but in a good way.

Well, not much of anything else to talk about right now.  My mom, stepdad, and brother are coming into town the day after Christmas, so I have lots of cleaning to do!  I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

We're having a BOY!!!! 

We went to the doctor today and found out we're having a boy.  The baby was extremely cooperative and spread his legs nice and wide for the camera.  I put a picture in my photo album if you'd like to see.

Today's a happy day!  I had a feeling that it was a boy, but Jared and I weren't really hoping one way or the other.  We just prayed that the baby would be healthy (that all my test results would come out the way we wanted) and that the baby would cooperate so we could stop wondering about the sex.  Well, both of our prayers came true.  All my triple/quad screen tests came back negative, and the baby "performed" perfectly!  So, like I said...it's a happy day!

Well, I've finally added some belly pictures to my photo album.  I've been wanting to add them for a while now, but kept having technical difficulties.  I have to admit though...now that I see them up there I'm a little embarrassed.  Oh well!  I'll get over it I guess.
