6 1/2 weeks later...
Well, I am not sure if anyone is still checking this or not, so I thought I would post an update. Everything is going so great for us, we couldn't be happier! Jessica had all her baby showers and she got totally spoiled! She has everything I think she will need for quite a while!
She is sleeping pretty good, we only get up once during the night, usually about 4AM. She has slept through a few nights, but doesn't seem to want to make it a habit quite yet! She is eating well and is gaining weight. At her appt on October 14th she was 10 lbs exactly!
Each Wednesday Jessica and I go to the mother baby wellness clinic here in town. It is a clinic where the health nurses weigh the baby and answer any questions you may have. Then there is a group discussion where we all sit in a circle and the speaker does her thing. They have talked about "baby wearing", stress & parenting, birth stories and this week is about infant CPR and choking! I am looking forward to this one, I don't know much about what to do in the case she needs me in that regard!
Brodie and I had our 2 year anniversary last Tuesday, we went for dinner while my Dad & Jo babysat Jessica. On November 14 we are going to Toronto for a night just the two of us to celebrate and Grammy & Poppy are going to keep her overnight for us!
It is funny to see how much she is changing and growing since she was born! She loves to play! We have playtime each day and sometimes she will be down on her playmat for 30-45 minutes! She is VERY alert and loves to watch everyone. She is smiling like crazy and she has such a beautiful smile! She is talking lots and making so many funny noises. I just love to watch her all the time, she is such a beautiful little baby!
Well, I hope this is everything anyone is wondering...not sure what else to update! Motherhood is more than I ever dreamed and I love every minute of it!
