I am in Love!

Well Hello All!

I am in love!  I had my first ultrasound today, it was amazing!  I can't believe how different I feel now that I have seen Peanut!  We are going to use the term "him" ONLY because I do not want to refer to my baby as "it" but we do NOT know the sex of the baby, and we will not know until we hear the first cry!

So, I went for my Dr. appt. on Friday, Brodie came with me and we were hoping to hear the heartbeat...I was trying to keep moving before the appointment (even in the car) so hopefully Peanut wouldn't be napping and the heartbeat would be stronger...have I mentioned pregnancy really messes with your head?  LOL!  So we got in to see the Dr., my blood pressure was good, I gained a couple pounds which is apparently good and they said all my blood work came back and everything is peachy!  Super!  Well, then he tried to hear the heartbeat but we couldn't...it was too early still.  As much as they say not to worry, there is still a little part of you that does worry!

That worry went away today though...I saw Peanut during the Ultrasound!  The ultrasound tech was rather rude and I asked her if she could see the heartbeat.  She snapped back "Please let me do my job and I will show you after I am done!"  Okie dokie!  I was not going to mess with her, she has my baby on the screen and I want to see!  Hahaha!!!  So, I kept my mouth shut and when she was done looking for whatever it is she was looking for, she moved the monitor so I could see...I will admit I shed a couple of tears at the moment she pointed out the beating heart and I could see it beating so quickly!  It was amazing!  We got to see Peanut sucking "his" thumb (she printed those pictures for me) and "he" was very excited to be on camera I think!  He was jumping off the "wall" and his butt and legs would go right up off the wall, you could see everything!  Even the crazy tech was giggling it was so cute!  I would laugh when "he" did it and then "he" would do it again but I am not sure if those times were because my insides were jiggling or if "he" was just putting on a show!  When I get home tonight I will scan the pictures onto my computer and add them to the photo album on the blog so you can all see!  The pictures are so clear you can see the nose and where the eyes are...it is unbelievable!

Well, more exciting news...Dad & Jo took Brodie and I to Port Huron this weekend and we got the 4-in-1 crib and the change table that I have had my eye on!  I have posted pictures in the photo album section...check out where our baby will sleep :)  The crib is super cool!  It starts as a crib, then you can convert it to a day bed with small front rails, then you remove the rails then it becomes a double bed!  It is great!  We are so excited to not have to worry about that with everything else going on!

I guess the only other news with Peanut is that the "bump" has started...it is still small (Peanut is only 4.5 cm) but you can see it!  Everyone at work seemed to notice it today for the first time...it must be my shirt!  Hahaha!!!

Well, if anyone has any questions or anything, just let us know!

Love you all,

Ciao!

Almost time for first Ultrasound!

Well, today is the start of Week 11.  I am very excited that the first trimester is almost over but it seems to be taking forever!  Once we see Peanut on the ultrasound I am sure it will become more real and the pregnancy will hopefully go a little faster!

I have a Dr. appointment this Friday to make sure everything is going OK, I think I will be able to hear the heartbeat for the first time!  I hope I don't cry, I seem to be doing that A LOT!

Then, Monday is the first ultrasound.  It is part of the IPS screening to see if Peanut has Downs Syndrome, Spine Abifida, etc....I can't wait to see the ultrasound!  I am so excited for that!

Things have been going pretty well so far.  I am off the Diclectin but I am not very sick...I just don't feel good sometimes but I think I am pretty lucky!  I sleep a lot, I usually make dinner, watch a LITTLE BIT of TV with Bro and then off to bed I go!

Brodie is doing great, I think he is getting excited too!  I can't wait to show him the ultrasound pictures of our little baby!  Yay!

Well, That is it for now I guess, I will update everyone after my Dr. appointment and again after the ultrasound.  I will try to get pics of the ultrasound and then put them in the photo album on here...oh by the way, I think my bump has started to show up!  It is very little but it is definitely there!  Tee-hee it is funny :)

Love you all!

Ciao!

Baby Brain is messing with me!

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to make a correction to my entry yesterday...we are at 9 weeks, not 10.  I am not sure what was going through my mind but it made perfect sense that it is 8 then 10!  I guess I am just so excited!  Hahaha!

I hope you are all doing great, talk to you soon :)

Ciao!

Excitement is tiring!!!

Hello Everyone!

I thought I would start this Blog (what a great idea!) so that friends and family that are not geographically close can still be updated as to what is happening during our pregnancy!  This is a very exciting time for us and we want to share it with everyone!

Well, I am feeling good...I don't have the nausea and morning sickness that a lot of women get, the Dr. has given me some magic pills that have gotten rid of that!  Yay!  I will only be on them for another couple of weeks to get me through the first trimester and then I should feel well enough to go off them.  The only thing I really find right now is that I am exhausted all the time!  I always feel like I haven't slept in a week, when I am actually getting around 12 hours a night!  Crazy!

I have had 1 prenatel visit and the Dr. said everything looks good so far, my next appointment is on February 8th.  The first ultrasound is February 11th and I am psyched for that!  Brodie unfortunately can't come with me but it isn't a normal ultrasound...he will be with me for the first regular pregnancy ultrasound which will be in another couple of months.

Mom, Nana, Keshia & I (somehow Jeffrey ended up there too) all went maternity clothes shopping for my Birthday, I got some great stuff, pants for work, jeans and tons of shirts and I love it all!  We had a lot of fun doing the shopping, I put on the "bump" that adds 7 months and it was so funny!  It felt strange, but I guess I had better get used to it!  LOL!

Most people say to wait until after 3 months to tell everyone, but everyone knew after 3 days!  We are so excited we couldn't keep it a secret!  Everyone seems to be genuinely excited for us, which is the common reaction along with "This is a shock!"...trust me, it was to us too!

Brodie is doing well, he is treating me well and he is more excited than I think he is letting on!  He keeps coming up with the strangest baby names, i.e. Max Powers, Thor, etc...and really wants me to take them into consideration!  We are having fun with it and we are really enjoying this miracle journey!

I am not sure why the journal says I am 8 weeks pregnant, according to my Dr. I will be 10 weeks tomorrow!

Well, if anyone has any questions or anything, let me know!  There is a guestbook on here you can ask me anything!  I will try to keep this updated and I will put pictures up when there is something exciting to look at!  Sound good?

Love you all!

Stacey :)
