Baby has arrived!

2008-07-30  (36 weeks)
Doctor says False Alarm...

Yesterday I had my 36 week checkup and Doc says he doesn't think the baby has dropped and yesterday I found it hard to breathe again...Peanut must have just found a new spot to hang out in on Monday!

The Dr. says my blood pressure was good (I was a little concerned it might be higher this time because of everything going on), my belly measured right on, I gained another 3 lbs...that puts me to 41 I think?  Peanut's heartbeat was 146/147 bpm which is much different than last time.  So, he said everything looks good at this point, I start going weekly from now on!  This baby better come before the due date though, my Doc is on holidays the week we are due!  Late would be OK too, but I think for my sanity and comfort Peanut should come a week early.  I mentioned my swollen feet to the Dr. and he said they are nothing to worry about, just a normal amount of swelling, just what I thought!  It grosses me out though that you can put an indent in my foot and it will stay!  That's nasty!  Hahaha!

Other than that, I don't think there is anything else new...still not sleeping great, peeing during the day every 30 mins or so, waddling around, but loving it all!

Everyone asks if I am ready to just get the pregnancy over with yet, but I honestly don't feel that way yet.  As me again in 2 more weeks!  LOL!  I am going to miss all the kicking and rolling around in my belly I think!  It is such an amazing feeling!  Also, I just realized because I am not at work this week, I only have 9 days of work left!  Oh my goodness!  I can't believe that!

Well, I hope you all have a great week!  Tomorrow is the visitation for Deb and Friday is the funeral.  I will do an update hopefully on the weekend.

Love you all!

What's the trick for baby hiccups?

Yesterday Peanut had hiccups for the first time!  It was so funny!  I was at work and couldn't believe how active s/he was!  I went to Rochelle's desk so she could feel.  Normally if I get up and move, baby needs time to settle back in before kicking again but not that time!  As soon as I sat down we were back in action!  Rochelle felt a few before she realized that's what it was and it totally made sense to me!  I was so excited s/he had the hiccups!  Everyone says it is funny when they get them and it so was!  I enjoyed it!  LOL!

We came home briefly yesterday to change and bring one of the cars home and there was a thing in the mailbox that we had a package!!!  Oh!!!  Mail is so fun to get!  So, we went to the post office and I ripped it open as soon as I got back in the car.  It was from our new friends Kyla, Riley and Emer out in Calgary!  Kyla you are too sweet!  They found a little beige onesie that reminds me of a kimono because it ties on the sides and it has long sleeves.  On the front of it, it says Peanut!  It is adorable!  There was also a blue blanket with Peanut embroidered in brown!  They are both in the babies room ready for the hospital!  How can I not take them?  Hahah!  Thanks Kyla!

Also, just an update.  We spent a long time at the hospital yesterday with the Earls family and shortly after 10 last night Deb lost her battle with cancer.  We are going to miss her so much but we are happy to see her not suffering anymore.  She has found peace now.

That's it for now, I have a Dr. appt in a couple of hours.

I think Peanut dropped!

I am not 100% sure (since this is my first time and all), but when I woke up this morning I felt different!  I feel like the baby isn't quite as high up.  Everyone said I will know when the baby drops because I will be able to breathe and have to pee more often.  I seem to be peeing the same amount, and I am breathing about the same, but there is pressure in new places now.

I was just talking to a girl here at work and she said I have definitely dropped (I didn't even say anything to her about it)...I guess that is pretty exciting, but Peanut better hang on just one more week at least!

We got word last night that as of yesterday the Doctor's think we were looking at about 24-48 hours left with Deb.  So, I am leaving at lunch today and probably won't be back the remainder of the week.  I am a mess with my hormones on a good day, I don't think I am going to be great for the rest of the week.  So, probably won't see more updates this week, please just keep our family in your prayers.

Well that's it for today, just a quick update on the dropping of Peanut!  Hopefully I don't ever say that again!

Hello to our family on The Rock, we miss you tons!

Belly Button on it's way out!

Happy Friday Everyone!  What a great day it is today, we get to pick up our new car today!  We are so excited!!!  We got to check it all out last night and it is amazing!!!

I can't remember if I posted an update on my swollen feet already...my girlfriend Rochelle wanted to see how bad I was swollen so she pushed on my ankle and the indent stayed!  Why didn't anyone prepare me for that?  I was totally freaked out!  Hahah!  So, that's my new fun is to see how long the indents will stay.  Last night I was VERY swollen and I got bored of watching the indents...today isn't so bad yet, but it is only 9AM!  Lots of time for that to change!

Brodie and I have been closely watching my always changing belly button.  He thinks belly buttons are gross so I like to show it to him all the time :)  I came to the conclusion it wasn't going to be an outie and would stay as an innie through the whole pregnancy...now it doesn't look like that is going to happen!  The top half seems to be sticking out now and you can see it through my clothes!  I feel like I am part of a secret club or something!  Hahaha!  Our prenatal teacher told us you can tell when a baby is fully "cooked" by the belly button.  I know everyone varies, but I am excited to know Peanut is close to being fully cooked!  Yay!

Not much else is really new, baby is moving a lot even though they say the movements start to slow down at this point since there is less room.  I don't think Peanut knows there is less room though, s/he doesn't seem to be letting up!  On Wednesday, I think I went my entire 8 hour work shift being kicked, baby didn't sleep all day!  Either s/he didn't sleep, or s/he was having a nightmare!  LOL!

Some of you may or may not know, Brodie's Mother is very sick right now.  Please include her in your prayers.

Well, I am going to sign off for now, lots of work to get done today before I leave early to get the car!

Have a nice weekend everyone,

Love:  Stacey, Brodie & Peanut
