Well, last night Peanut got more presents! We went to baseball (so Brodie could get some batting practice in before playoffs in a couple weeks) and Nana & Grandpa came to watch with me and Mom. I haven't seen them since they got back from Newfie. They brought Peanut a baby disney blanket that is so soft, a giraffe that plays music, a little t-shirt and a growth chart. The chart is so cool (there are pictures in the photo album), it has velcro on the left and you move the starfish and the fish to what the height is. The chart is a Newfoundland Puffin and so cute!
Yesterday Cathy also came to my work and brought a storybook about Puffins for Peanut. I can't wait to start reading it to the baby! By the looks of things, this baby will know it's Newfie heritage! LOL!
AND...my Grandpa Jim and Grandma Ada made us a cradle! They made it out of Oak and there are hearts cut out in the wood. I have put pictures in the album, it is so gorgeous! They put a mattress in it and covered it with the cutest jungle baby fabric that matches the nursery so well! The finishing touch is the ruffle on the outside. They used part of my wedding dress to make the ruffle and used little bows to tie it on. Also, for those of you who don't know this little fact...in my wedding dress I had a swatch of Brodie's Mother's dress cut into the shape of a heart and sewn into my dress (right behind my heart). My step mom Jo and my grandparents took this heart out of my dress and put it on the ruffle with pretty yellow stitching to match the inside of the crib. I tried to take a picture of this but it didn't work out too well...
So, once again we find out Peanut is spoiled but it is all so fun, so it's ok! Have a great day!

37 week Doctor Appointment
Today was our 37 week appointment. Yet again, all was good! I had my personal best week in the weight gain department, just 1 lb! That takes the grand total to........42 lbs! Not too bad, I think! Peanut's heartrate was back to 150 bpm and my blood pressure was ok. He said it was slightly higher than last time, but still in the normal range. My swelling is still ok and Peanut is in a good position still. He says he doesn't think I have "dropped" yet, but everyone else seems to think so! Peanut had the hiccups when we were in the waiting room, I was laughing cause it feels so funny!
I put up a picture of me and Peanut with my 37 week belly...getting bigger and bigger! I also posted a couple other pictures...one is the adorable "kimono" onesie and blanket from Kyla in Calgary and the other one is the gifts Dawn (co-worker) brought back from Dallas this weekend for the baby. I realized Peanut has a moose from Newfoundland, a horse from Dallas and a Polar Bear from Russia! What a lucky baby!
Well, this is just a quick update, my cold seems to be getting better, but my lips are hurting really badly from breathing through my mouth for the last week solid. They are starting to get cracked and swollen...that better go away in a real hurry!
Have a great short week everyone!

Public Washrooms aren't for Pregnant Women!
I keep meaning to put this statement on my blog and I forget every single time! LOL!
Any pregnant woman out there, I am sure you find the same thing. This is my main pregnancy complaint, more than the no sleeping and the enormous feet! I can't tell you how many times I have been stuck between the door and the toilet trying to get into a washroom stall lately! Part of the issue is that I need to use the washroom more than ever so I am using more public washrooms now. I now have to use the handicap stalls in some places, because there is no way I can get in the normal ones! It is like the washrooms are designed by the same people as airplanes! Just trying to get as many people in as possible!
Well, the Graces are back from Newfie, and we went for a visit with Mom last night for a few hours to hear about the trip. Of course, she spoiled Peanut! I attached a photo of it all so you can see. There is a moose from Newfoundland, a pair of socks with the flag, a Pirate t-shirt that is super funny - read it! Also, she got Brodie a Toronto Maple Leafs set for the baby. There is a onesie, a cap and booties. I took a picture of one of the booties, I can't believe how small they are! Brodie doesn't think they are actually going to fit our baby, boy I sure hope they do! I have to push him/her out! LOL!
I will have Brodie take a picture in the next day or 2 of my belly now at 37 weeks! I will put it up soon.
Have a great short week everyone! Thanks for reading :)

Almost down to 3 weeks left!
Happy long weekend! I realized when I go back to work on Tuesday, I only have 9 days of work before I am off! How crazy is that?!
Not much is really new with Peanut in the last few days. Everything I have read and lots of people I have spoken to said that the activity usually slows down at this point since there is less room for movement. I don't think Peanut understands this concept! S/he is moving as much as ever in the small space s/he has! Only difference is, I get an entire bum in my ribs instead of a foot. Big difference! LOL!
Next weekend is our first baby shower, I am so excited for it! I can't wait to see everyone!
I am still feeling ok, other than this horrible cold I am fighting. I got it near the beginning of the week, but it is just getting worse the last couple of days. Yesterday 2 people told me that I have dropped, but I can't breathe easier still (this cold is making it very difficult to breathe) so I am not too sure. Guess we will let the Doc decide!
Thursday and Friday were 2 very long and difficult days with the visitation and funeral for Deb. I was a little spoiled though, for the visitation since we were in the receiving line, Greg made sure I had a stool I could sit on if I needed it! What a nice thing to do! Surprisingly my feet didn't swell too bad during the 2 days, but I was very very tired. My hormones were in full gear also, I cried for 2 days straight and barely stopped! Thanks to everyone who supported us through this tough time, we love and appreciate you all!
Yesterday we just sat on the couch and watched movies all day. It was fantastic! Today we have some friends coming over for a visit, then off to Mom's with a pizza to welcome her home after being in Newfie for 2 very long weeks! LOL!
Next Doc appt. is Tuesday, will keep everyone posted!
