Baby has arrived!

2008-08-31  (40 weeks)
5 days overdue and no signs of a new beginning...

I guess our little Peanut doesn't want to be an August baby!  S/he is still cozy and warm inside but my belly feels more and more ginormous every day!  I feel like I have an 18 year old inside!  LOL!  S/he is back to putting feet in my ribs, which is super fun!

We are doing alright though...I am still feeling fine, just a little tired and starting to feel huge.  My swelling isn't bad lately and I think I am keeping my attitude on the positive side!

Friday night we went to Dad's for a fire after Brodie was done work and that was lots of fun!  Aunt Jan announced she is marrying Brian - congrats guys!

Saturday I cleaned the bathroom and Brodie cut the grass and cleaned the car (a cat walked across the front hood last night and now he is pissy) and the rest of the day was spent playing video games, watching movies, colouring (my new fave past time) and doing the Toronto High Five Sudoku puzzle (I did it this time Nana!).  Today we are doing groceries and then off to the mall.  Brodie wants a new video game but I want to go walking!  LOL!

Other than that, not much else is new, will keep you updated on Peanut's progress...or lack of!

Royal Pains...

Here we are early morning of 3 days overdue.  Isn't it exciting ?  LOL!  Yesterday was quite the day...here it is!

I had my weekly Doctor's appointment where I lost 1 lb (really?  Who does that?), my bp was fine, heart was about 160 bpm, I measured .5" less than last week but that isn't much so baby still hasn't really dropped.  I had a horrible cramp when I went in on my right side but the Doctor just brushed it off...only other thing, is if Peanut hasn't decided to make his/her grand entrance by next Thurs, I have another appt and they will probably schedule me for induction then.  They won't induce me before 41.5 weeks and won't let me go to 42 weeks.  Fab!

I went home, went for dinner with Brodie (needed some comfort food - Wendy's after realizing it could be another entire week), got back home and sat down and the horrible cramp was back but this time with avengeance!  It was in the middle of my belly just above my belly button and dang it hurt bad!  After about 45 mins I called Telehealth and they told me to go to the hospital.  I went in and they did a non stress test and Peanut looked fine.  They said I was having Braxton Hicks contractions.  Geez, took long enough for them to show up!  LOL!  I was in horrible pain and the thought never occured to me that is what it was...LOL!  So, back home we went to bed.  The pain was gone about an hour after it started...

Well, I guess this means my body knows it is supposed to do something and is getting ready...who knows when the show will actually happen though?

Have a great Labour Day Weekend everyone!  Enjoy our last summer weekend :(

2008-08-26  (40 weeks)
Well, here we are at week 40...

...and Peanut doesn't understand it is time to come meet us now!!!  LOL!  Let's reminisce for a moment here...

I clearly remember Boxing Day night...it was about 10PM and the test was positive.  I called my Mom to go to the Doc with me because I was absolutely terrified!!!  I went to the Doc the next day and they told me my due date was August 26th...it was confirmed!  I spent the next 9/10 months so excited and nervous and curious and emotional because August 26th seemed so far away.  I couldn't figure out how to keep this little baby healthy and safe for so long!  Pregnancy has been one of the best experiences of my life so far, I couldn't have asked for a better time!  I was very lucky through it all and I thank Peanut every day for making it a little easier on me!

Well, now August 26th is here and half over!!!  I am just getting home from the mall and the grocery store, both combined totalled about 2 hours of walking to try to get gravity to take over.  I don't feel anything different, but only time will tell I guess!  Brodie is really hoping that Peanut will come either today or tomorrow or wait until after the long weekend so he isn't spending his long weekend in the hospital...I told Peanut it better be today or tomorrow, but with Brodie's luck it will be Friday or Saturday!  LOL!

My next Doctor's appt is Thursday but I have a feeling they will wait until we are about a week overdue before they induce me if Peanut still has not made his/her grand entrance...hopefully we will have our little baby in the next week though...sorry Jeffrey, there is a chance you may need to share you month on the Calendar for September...fingers crossed that doesn't happen though!

Well, hopefully my next update will be about Peanut joining our world, but wish us luck!!!

Week 39 picture is up...

...and I didn't think I was quite that big!  I think the pictures always make me realize how pregnant I actually am!

The only real update I have for today, is Peanut found my Sciatic (sp?) Nerve!  What a good baby to not find it until now, but 3 different times today I was in horrible pain every step I took!  The second time, I was in WalMart and I could barely walk so I had to stop and wait before trying again and sure enough it wasn't better!  So, I just had to suck it up and get to the car but dang it hurts bad!

Oh well, what do you do?  LOL!

That's all for now, will be in touch soon :)
