I just love the sweet ultrasound photos!  What a cute baby!

I liked hearing what you got for your baby shower! So what colors do you like for your baby? Yellows & greens? They're kinda gender neutral colors.

When Jane was first born I just assumed she'd sleep in her bassinet. The first night we had her I just couldn't be that far from her even tho she was right next to our bed! Those first few months are so precious and short I like to cuddle with them as much as possible. However, it's much easier this time to let Uriah sleep in his bassinet more often. I've come to value my comfort and cuddle time with my hubby more lately. Also Jane is quite accustommed to sleeping with us now (although we put her in her crib in the other room after she's asleep), and I'd like Uriah to be less used to that than she is. People warned us about letting them sleep with us at the beginning b/c it would be hard for them to transition to sleeping alone. Well, I don't mind that much. The cuddling was worth it.

I felt way more comfortable having Levi in the room with us ( think you remember the set up) he was still across the room from me so I didn't wake up ever 5 minutes with every little noise. When he was tiny, and I let him, he slept much better in bed with us, but I didn't.

Aneliese slept in a bassinet by our bed for about three months. At first I was pretty hardcore about the baby having its own room but as we got closer to her being born, I really wanted her near us. It was really nice for the first few weeks while I was healing since I didn't even get out of bed. later we started her out in her crib but put her in the bassinet after her middle of the night feeding. Then we started having her in her crib all night. She seems to sleep best that way and the transition was more for me than for her. I found that I actually slept better at the beginning with her right beside me.

Sorry another post....I just read further down. :)

Be prepared to have ALL kinds of strange dreams, even after you give birth. I had them from the time I was 20 weeks pregnant until Trevor was about 8 months old.

Hey Jamie! I just found your site through a link on Lola's blog. Regarding the room situation...we had Trevor's room all set up and intended on using it. Our first night home, I had him in his crib. The next day, I found myself at WalMart buying a "pack-and-play" that had a bassinet for newborns that attached and he was in our room for a few months. Even though I always took him to the living room to change or feed him, it was easier having him in our room for some reason.

GOOD LUCK! I am so excited for you!
