Pregnancy Journal

This morning I got to work, very anxious to share the news with my work family. Jackie was ready to send out my announcement, and it was beautiful. After it was sent out, the responses were overwhelming! I was so happy to have so many people congratulate me and wish me well.... Thank You Jax, for sending out such a beautiful e-mail.

We decided that while most people wait a while before they tell everyone, that we would enjoy surprising everyone.... In the end what will be will be and we would rather have everyone's well wishes behind us.

Sunday May 11th (Mother's Day)

Randy and I wait for a moment when everyone is around the table at my brother's house where the family was gathered for lunch and we give them the big news! Our Mother's cry, and everyone hugs and congratulates us... It was such an amazing moment... We will never forget it.

A little later that day we give the news to the rest of the family, and it's equally special!

5/09/08 about 2pm....

I came home early from work because I wasn't feeling well, and out of sheer curiosity I took a HPT (hone pregnancy test) and to my surprise it was POSITIVE!!! I couldn't believe it, so I took another and another, and in the end I had taken 7 pregnancy tests and they were all positive! I called Randy right away and told him we were going to have a baby. I don't think he grasped it right away, because he sort of said "GOOD GOOD GOOD" and that was it....

Move to about 6pm....

Randy and I talk and decide that we will tell my brother and his sister this evening, since we wanted to leave the big surprise for our mothers.

Move to about 8pm....

"Guys we have something to show you" as I pull out my Ziploc bag with 7 HPT's in it... We are having a baby. Randy's sister claims that she knew it and my brother hugged me, and said congratulations!

We are very excited about keeping this a secret from our mothers until Sunday... MOTHER'S DAY!
