first i want to thank you heather for the positive comments on our name Lucian.  and yea you are not alone at all with the crazy dreams!!!  also i live in ohio and we are stationed at wright-patterson AFB.  and so you only get a 20 wk u/s here unless you have issues, thats the military for you.  and as i said the reason we got one at 8 wks was to make sure there wasn't more than one since we had to take clomid, a fertility drug.  so my next thing i wonder and worry about is my right hip.  it has been hurting terribly for the last week and yesterday was the worst it has been.  it hurt to sit, stand, walk, and even lay down.  and my bed looks like the mattress has exploded into tons of pillows.  my poor hubby when he gets home from work he barely has any room!!!  i talked to a nurse briefly this morning and she said to call and see if i can get walked in because my next appt isn't for two more weeks.  and the tylenol wasn't working either.  i think i need and anitinflammatory, motrin, and of course i can't take that while being pregnant.  has anyone else had this problem?  and back to the dream thing.  i had a wonderful dream about the little person inside me last night!!!  it is the third dream i have had about him, so i am pretty sure it is a boy.  the first two he was some where between 3 and 6 months and in last night's dream he was a newborn.  he was so small and so beautiful!!!  i was feeding him and then burping him.  and then he fell off the couch, which i didn't freak out about coz i know that will happen anyway.  and my dog, aries, was just looking at him and wasn't jealous or anything.  i have been worried about my dog.  we have three, two jack russell terriers and one great dane.  and the oldest jack is aries and she is my baby.  i am so worried she will get jealous and mad at me when the baby comes.  she won't get near the attention that she gets from me now.  so i am spoiling her now.  and we aren't going to be the parents that never let our dogs and cats around the baby.  they will be involved too.  well i am gonna quit blabbing and go read some of your journals.  and again thank you heather!!!

here we are in wk 13 and i am already starting to show.  it surprises me because i have heard oh that won't happen until like the 7th month.  well i have to admit i had a belly full of fat before pregnancy, more like a pot belly you see on older guys, you know the beer belly, but it was a stress belly, so it is being morphed into a temporary home.  i didn't have any morning sickness at all.  i only vomitted twice.  and i had and aversion to chicken for about a month.  my cravings have been intense and all for stuff jayson likes and not me.  jayson is my husband of almost three years, oct. 16.  he won't admit it but he is totally having the sympathy pregnancy.  he has a little pudge belly and is eating stuff he never eats.  the only thing i believe he has to get used to in the pregnancy is how the hormones are making me act.  so back to me and my ever expanding belly, i never thought i would pee so much in my life.  its all the time, its crazy.  and i have a new appreciation for the word tired.  i find myself avoiding the maternity clothes my mom bought me early on.  i know i should just break down and wear them but that is weird to me.  and how about these dreams, i mean wow.  i had strange ones to begin with but these are incredibly strange.  i know i am all over the place, i just have so much to catch up on.  well i guess i should stop babbling now and get back to my patients and my doc.

well we are one of the lucky couples that gets care at a military hospital becuase we got to have an 8 wk ultrasound.  they don't do too many u/s unless you have issues.  but our next one  won't be until 20 wks.  that seemed so far away at 8 wks and still seems so far at 13.  we had an u/s at 8 wks to make sure there wasn't more than one resident in there.  and there is only one.  we took clomid which increases the chance of multiples. 

we found out that i was pregnant when i was only three weeks pregnant, so that means it had just happened.  we were both so excited and so shocked, we had been trying for a year with no luck and i took clomid just one month and BAM!!! it happened.  we had been so used to not being pregnant that we were fine with the clomid taking at least four months to work.  i called my husband right away and he was asleep, he works night, and his response was, "you're pregnant?"  and then "that's crazy".  then i called my mom and my maternal grandmother.  we weren't keeping it from anyone.
