We finally got it So after the 3rd attempt to pick up the crib, we were able to do so yesterday. Right after work, I was feeling pretty good so we went to Lowe's to borrow their truck and pick up the crib. It's now sitting in our garage waiting to be assembled. We probably won't assemble it until the mattress comes in. I'll have to get my parents to get on their ass and get it ASAP.
I'm pretty excited to see family and friends this weekend but at the same time dreading the trip. I know I'm not as limber as I used to be but I think it'll be okay. I can sense the hubby's excitement about going down there. The last time we went was last December so I understand why he's feeling that way.

Getting things in order *whew* We did quite a lot today. The important thing was we bought a new car! After doing some research, we ended up with the 2007 Jeep Patriot. It's 5-star rated for safety, it's big enough to lug stuff (hello strollers, etc) and it has great mileage for an SUV. We're pretty happy with the price that we got it for as well. So now that's out of the way, we also received a generous gift card from my godparents so we ordered the crib at BRU. We didn't know that they actually stock some cribs in the store and we lucked out. The only bad thing was, it was too big to fit in our car ironically enough so we'll have to get it home some other way tomorrow. It's still gonna save us with shipping costs.
Tomorrow, we'll hit up IKEA to get the dresser to use for the changing table. We've gotten rid of our PC that's sitting in the corner of the guest room so we can at least start rearranging stuff tomorrow. I'm glad we're starting early cause I can feel my stomach getting bigger everyday and it's getting harder and harder to move around. So next Friday we fly down to SoCal. It should be fun! We're pretty much having a school reunion of some sort because we've invited high school (and college) friends that we haven't seen in a long, long time so I'm sure we'll have tons of fun. Oh and the food. How can I forget the food? hahaha... Although at this stage of pregnancy, I can't really eat as much as I want to so I'll have to take little bites of everything.

I guess not So we went today for the 3D ultrasound but since baby boy already turned head down, they can't get good pictures of his face. The technician suggested that we walk around for 10 minutes and see if he turns but like what he suspected, he didn't. We were told that since I'm further along, it's less likely that he'll turn head up so we got our money back. I'm a little disappointed but I figured, there's only about 2 more months before we meet him so I'm okay with it. We went to BJ's Brewery afterwards (don't worry, I didn't drink) to eat since I was getting a bit cranky. Anyway, at least we're 100% sure he's a BOY!

32 week checkup Everything checked out okay in yesterday's appointment. I requested a note for flying for next week and I turned in my birth plan. MY OB made some minor tweaks in my birth plan but nothing too bad. I can't believe it's only 8 more weeks 'til my due date.
In the evening, we attended a Home Safety seminar at BRU. He gave us some helpful tips. Although I know that you should childproof your house way before your child becomes mobile, I wasn't exactly sure WHEN to do it. I actually think that asking for safety items in the registry is a bit too early but not necessarily a bad thing. He suggested doing something around 6 months. They had a raffle drawing after the seminar and I won a $10 gift card. =) So we just walked around the store and tested out the travel system we registered for. You could tell we're first time parents cause we had a hard time putting on and taking off the car seat on the base. Oh well, I'm glad my work has certified people that can teach me how to install them properly so I'll do that when we get the car seat.
It has been getting harder and harder to get some sleep although, I think I still sleep well considering my condition. My neck and shoulders still hurt a little but not as bad and of course my back is my constant annoyance at the moment. Overall, I'm good.
