Baby has arrived!

15 Weeks
So almost everyone knows now:  the parents, my boss, my coworkers, relatives and my church friends.  Although I'm not showing that much, my pants are definitely getting tighter.  Might have to go shopping for some maternity clothes soon.  Next appointment is Monday, I'm excited!!  I really like hearing the baby's heartbeat.

We sent the baby greeting cards to the parents and they were happy and excited!  This is truly a joyous event since this will be the first grandchild on both our sides.  Can I hear spoiled?  hahahaha...  I'm happy that we can finally tell people the good news.

Around 12 weeks -- April 2, 2007
I'm glad it's almost the end of the first trimester.  Our 2nd prenatal appointment was today.  We got to hear the baby's heartbeat (2nd time for me, first time for the hubby).  It was pretty exciting.  We even recorded a video to commemorate the event.  My urine was tested again and my lab results were reviewed.  Everything checked out A-Okay which is great!  It was a way shorter meeting and my questions were answered.  My 16 week and 20 week appointment were scheduled and my Ultrasound level 2 appointment was scheduled for May as well. That's when we get to find out if the baby is a boy or girl and yes we'd like to know.

9 weeks - March 8th
Yay!  Today is my first prenatal appointment.  I'm so excited!  I had to do a urine test and blood tests.  They got around 6 vials of blood for me (which my veins paid dearly).  My OB/Gyn did a transvaginal ultrasound (U/S) and I saw my baby (*gasps*) for the first time!  I even got to hear its heartbeat.  The doctor said that he/she looked pretty good.  She was even trying to make it wiggle.  To me, it looked like a little glowworm so that's our nickname for our baby right now.  It's really unbelievable the feeling you feel when you first see your baby.  The hubby wasn't there with me because of time conflicts but I got to show him the ultrasound pictures.  It was a great day.
