Maternity Clothes Since we're leaving in about a week for our trip, I needed to get some maternity clothes to make sure I'll be comfortable. It's kinda hard to resist not buying some of the cute clothes out there but I just have to remind myself that I'll only be wearing these for a few months. I tried to get clothes that'll work in and out of the office. I think I did good. I was also able to get some cute sandals which will replace the ones where the insoles came off. I haven't been really in a shopping mode lately due to obvious reasons which is kinda nice. It allows me to save money.
I'm glad I got the Bella Band. It'll allow me to wear some of my non-maternity clothes a little bit longer.

Freebies One nice thing about where I work is that I get some cool pregnancy information. I was able to get a what to expect when you're expecting book, a baby's first year book and pretty much a free subscription to Fit Pregnancy and Parenting. I like reading through those just to get ideas. I think that's where I heard about the bella band. I also like reading how celebs were able to lose weight in a safe manner.

Nosebleed I know that nosebleeds can be a common occurrence during pregnancy but my first official "pregnancy nosebleed" came today. I panicked a bit. I was just sitting there at a conference listening to a presenter when suddenly, I felt that I was having a runny nose. I always check when I get that but this time it was bright red. So I had to hurry and go to the restrooms. I was in there a good 15 minutes. I didn't think it would stop! After putting a wet towel on my forehead and squeezing my nose like there's no tomorrow it finally did. Boy, I hope that doesn't happen again or at least not that frequently. I wonder what brought it on.

We're having a... *drum roll* B-O-Y! The ultrasound took about 30 minutes and the technician was really nice. I made sure I drank PLENTY of water but I think I overdid it. The baby (in my opinion) looked intact and healthy. It was squirming a lot but I think it was because the bladder was pushing him too much. She gave us a bunch of pictures so I'll upload it here when I get the chance then Monday we get to see the OB and talk more about the baby's development. So now I can kinda plan the motiff of the room.
Anyway, here are some things I noticed during the ultrasound:
She said my placenta seems to be running along my back, which is a good sign as long as it's not by my cervix.
The four chambers of the heart were visible (Yay!)
You can almost see the whole spine
Baby seemed pretty active (but could be also due to my full bladder pressing)
He looked so cute sucking his thumb. We could see his mouth doing the sucking movement.
