Baby has arrived!

Baby Registry
I'm so glad to finally be back at home.  I don't think I'll be traveling anywhere for awhile until August for my baby shower.  Until then, I'm staying put.  This gave me a chance to start our baby registry.  We went to Babies 'R Us (where else?) and started on the big ticket items.  I think we were only there for an hour and my back started to hurt.  I guess it's not as exciting as the wedding registry because technically it's not really for us.  hahaha  Still, it was fun looking at cute stuff for the baby.  It gets a bit overwhelming let me tell ya.  I bought the Baby Bargains book yesterday to kinda help me figure out what I want and what to watch out for. So far, I only got to read the part about cribs.  I refuse to get suckered in by ads just because it looks cute or whatever.  I'd rather do research first before buying anything.

Anyway, we decided to just fly down for my baby shower.  I don't think I'd be able to hang 7+ hours when I'm about 33 weeks along.  I know we might have problems with getting big items but I'm willing to deal with that.  Any suggestions?  My cousin gave me some suggestions since she lives far from family too.

Can't believe time is flying by so fast!

23 week appointment
Today I go to my OB appointment.  I hope I didn't gain TOO much weight from the cruise and that my urine specimen will be normal.  I just can't get over how much dessert and chocolates I ate during our vacation.  One time they had a "Chocolate Extravaganza" theme for lunch and I ate a big piece of fudge, chocolate cake and chocolate-dipped fruits.  Aaack!!

Babymoon's over
We had a great time in the Caribbean and I'm SO glad that we had that time for ourselves.  One thing that made me worry was that I slipped on the upper deck one night because it was wet.  I was so scared!  I tried to feel movements after that and it was awhile before I felt them but I'm glad I did so I know my baby is fine.

I guess I'm starting to show since when I came back, people at work have been commenting how I'm showing more now which is good.  Also, my cousin's packages have arrived!  She gave us so much.  She included a breast pump package, a bottle system, a couple of blankets, pacifiers, and nursing pads.  I have to give her a call to say thank you.  I think she was just excited that she can finally get rid of those stuff.

I have a conference to go to next week so I'll be flying down to SoCal and then that should be the last of my journeys.  The next time I travel far will be for my baby shower.  Time is flying by so fast.  I need to get my registry started.

Family Rocks!
Just got an email from my cousin's wife and she told me that she has a bassinet (hardly used) and a matching bouncer that she's willing to give me.  Alright!!   They're Eddie Bauer too.  She has 2 young boys so her advice will come in handy for sure.  I think my baby shower planning is underway and hubby and I are planning to drive down for that.  As much as I *hate* driving down, it's probably the best way to do it.  If ever we get big-ticket items, I doubt we'd be able to bring it ALL with us on the plane.

Rearranging the guest bedroom is also being started--slowly but surely.  There's a couple of things we need to get rid off/sell so we can make more room.  It might be a little tight but it won't be too bad.  We just need to get our creative juices flowing.

Our trip is in -5 days.  So excited!!!  Gotta start packing.
