What else do we need? Last Saturday, we went to Target to add more stuff to our registry. We mostly registered for the layette, nipples and other essentials our baby will need. Boy after we were done, my back was hurting pretty bad. I know we're not done yet and I'm sure I'll be editing some more things here and there.
Yesterday, the baby was a quieter than usual. I did feel some kicks but not too much. I guess I'm just being paranoid. According to one of my pregnancy books, babies have their up and down days so it was probably just resting. I've been feeling movement since then though so I think it's okay.
You know whenever I hear about babies being born, I can't help but wish that our baby boy was already here. Must be nice to snuggle with that warm little body but I can wait a few months longer. I waited this long so why not a few more months? We can't have him making his appearance "too" early now, do we?
Anyway, my main concern right now is our baby shower down in SoCal. I'll be about 33 weeks along when we go and we're flying. I know we're only gonna be there for a weekend but still, that's kinda close. I really would've hoped to have it in early August instead but it's kinda hard to change things now so I think I'll just be a trooper and head on down. Besides, we should be getting quite some loot while we're down there. I guess as long as the hubby is with me, it'll be okay.
2007-06-29 (25 weeks)
An open letter to our future son Dear C,
For the past 6 months you've been enjoying the warm comfort of my belly. I hope that you continue to do so until you're good and ready. There's nothing papa and mama want more than for you to come out healthy and happy. When I first found out that you existed, I have to admit I was terrified. Although we knew we wanted to have you, I wasn't sure if we were ready. We knew in our hearts we were ready but nothing really prepares you for parenthood. This may sound selfish but I'm glad that I get to have you for myself the whole 9 months. It's been exciting seeing you for the first time on that monitor. I still couldn't believe it myself! The first time I felt your movements, it was unbelievable. I wasn't sure if it was really you but after awhile, I knew it was. Nothing could describe the joy me and your papa felt when we saw you on the 2nd ultrasound. We were happy that you were fully formed and you looked healthy.
So now it's just a waiting game. You still have about 3-4 months left and I enjoy every minute of it. Even though pregnancy itself can get awkward and difficult at times, I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world as long as it means you come out healthy. We are eagerly anticipating your arrival little one and we'll try to be the best parents we could when you come into the world.

Strong Kicks I forgot to mention that the other day, I told my husband to feel my stomach. I saw my stomach and shirt move for the first time and that was the first time he felt the kicks. I could see the happiness on his face and I think he's more excited than ever to meet our little boy. I told him he better have strong legs and arms cause he'll have to play tennis some day just like his mama and papa. I notice that he's more active after I eat and when it's time to wind down. So far it hasn't been getting in the way. I'm glad I can still sleep on my back. I don't mind his kicking cause it lets me know that he's doing okay.
So one downside to being pregnant is that you can't really buy too many [maternity] clothes which can translate to saving more money right? Well, now I'm just starting to want other stuff not related to clothing or shoes. Oh well, I'm not entirely that depressed. I know this is only temporary.
2007-06-25 (24 weeks)
Prenatal Massage Yipee!! I booked ourselves a massage for the hubby's birthday. I've been told by a few people that a massage is highly recommended so I'm gonna get it done even if it is just once during this pregnancy. Can't wait!!
